Clearer Images of Classified Aircraft Over Wichita

Jeff Templin is a amateur photographer. He says he’s seen it all until now. While taking pictures of wildlife back in February, something caught his eye. He said it looked like an unusual contrail.

“Right over the city, clear as a bell,” said Templin. “Anyone that was looking up would have seen it. You don’t usually see military or even civilian aircraft’s jets that leave contrails making those kind of severe departures off of the given route.”

Templin says the aircraft made several; severe 180 degree turns in the sky in the shape of an “S”, even more unusual.

“Absolutely silent, no sound,” he said.

So he snapped a few photos and took it home.

“When I put it on my computer and processed them, I was surprised to see this triangular shape that is not like anything you typically see,” he said.

This is no great mystery.. It’s a B2.

Here’s a photograph of another B2. The contrails match.

The point of view on the aircraft in this photo shows a matching angle.

So an aircraft. Not a mystery aircraft, it was a B2.

The claim of “absolutely silent” is all about distance. (Google for inverse-square law). I’ve seen plenty of aircraft that I couldn’t hear. Because of the distance from me to the aircraft, and other local noises, the aircraft were “silent”.

I suspect the “unable to identify” statement from the military wasn’t “We don’t know what it was”. it was ‘We aren’t going to say what it was.” Funny thing about stealth aircraft, they don’t like to say where they are and what they’re doing.
