London Police Radio Announcement Tells People to Report Anything or Anyone Suspicious to Counter Terror Hotline
April 13th, 2007I just learned of an almost unbelievable radio ad campaign that has been running in and around London. This sounds like a British version of the, Inoffizielle Mitarbeiter, or the Unofficial Collaborators, of the infamous East German Stasi. Listen for yourself (mp3 hosted on Cryptogon). And don’t miss the insightful posters if you click through […]
‘Water Police’ Crack Down in an Ever-Drier Australia
April 12th, 2007Via: Christian Science Monitor: At first glance it looks like a police car – a white vehicle with a black-and-yellow checkerboard stripe running along its flanks. While it’s not intellectually rigorous to be content with, “The usual suspects did it. I don’t know exactly how. But They did it,” I sleep well […]

I’d like to […]

Got Milk? You’re Under Arrest
March 18th, 2007Via: Information Liberation: In many states, you can possess it, but the law prohibits its sale. It is a violation of federal law to transport the substance across state lines with the intent to sell it. In many states, undercover investigators are at work trying to uncover the furtive networks that produce and distribute the […]
