Jury Acquits All 7 Leaders of Oregon Standoff

October 27th, 2016

This whole thing must be a COINTEL operation. I don’t know whether any of these people are willing participants in such an operation (I suspect some of them are), but you can bet that .gov is interested in running detailed surveillance and social network analysis on all of them.

Consider what can happen if you write the wrong thing on social media. Justin Carter wrote something stupid on Facebook back in 2013 and his life has been destroyed. After being beaten in jail and spending time in solitary confinement, Carter is still awaiting trial.

But the people involved with taking over a U.S. Government facility for several weeks are allowed to walk free?

COINTELPRO. Gotta be.

Via: USA Today:

The seven leaders of an armed group who took over a wildlife refuge in Oregon earlier this year were all found not guilty Thursday of conspiracy and possession of firearms at a federal facility.

A jury exonerated brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy and five other co-defendants of conspiring to block federal workers from their jobs at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in a standoff that began Jan. 2 and lasted almost six weeks.

Defendant Ken Medenbach, who was not in the courtroom for the verdict and had been away for medical treatment, began crying when informed of the news over the telephone.

“It’s wonderful – the holy spirit has been listening to our prayers,” Medenbach said. “The people have spoken.”

    This is jury nullification.

Just like Hillary Clinton did not have “intent” to harm, so too these guys had no “intent” to harm.

Jury nullification should be used everywhere and especially with trials of protesters.

From the same article: “As the verdict was read, (attorney) Marcus Mumford argued that Ammon Bundy should be freed, but authorities used an electronic stun gun device on him and tackled him to the ground before arresting him”

From local coverage: (Mumford) “said he asked the U.S. Marshals to see their paperwork that gave them authority to keep his client in custody.” “Mumford tells KATU News that U.S. Marshals surrounded him and told him that he was resisting arrest. The marshals tackled him and used a stun gun on him several times”

There’s no doubt Americans are subject to massive amounts of COINTELPRO. Having an attorney for some innocent defendents flopping around on the courtroom floor from repeated stun gun shocks IS good theater and would be frosting on the cake to encourage Bundy‘s supporters toward further action and coordination. Of course in that case Mumford is in on it, and/or the Jury selection was rigged.

Alternately, maybe there’s an element of the old American Republic, with its common law dating back to the Magna Carta, rearing its head and producing that jury nullification.
Most jurists aren’t even aware of jury nullification, with which they have the power to judge the law itself, as well as the defendant.

Of course, the reason the Bundy brothers came to Oregon was to support the Hammonds, fellow father and son ranchers with BLM grazing rights who were set to begin their five year federal prison sentence on Jan 4, 2016. The Malheur protest started 2 days prior, in protest and support of that family:

The Hammonds were one of the few families left in their area still grazing BLM land, and the Feds wanted control of the land and them out. They were charged and convicted of terrorism for using a controlled burn to manage rangeland fodder and stop a lightening strike fire, which is the historical accepted method in the area and is used by the BLM itself. Even though the minimum sentence for their crime was five years, the judge sentenced them to 3 months, citing the otherwise cruel and unusual punishment. After they were out and just before the 2 year statute of limitations, they were brought back in and sentenced to the remainder of a five year sentence.

About half way through the above article is this embedded video with Ammon Bundy, detailing how and why he came to support the Hammonds:.
