‘Something May Come Through’ Dimensional ‘Doors’ at LHC

November 16th, 2009

I’m sure that Dick Cheney will wear his finest hooded robe for the occasion.

Via: Register:

A top boffin at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) says that the titanic machine may possibly create or discover previously unimagined scientific phenomena, or “unknown unknowns” – for instance “an extra dimension”.

“Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it,” said Sergio Bertolucci, who is Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN, briefing reporters including the Reg at CERN HQ earlier this week.

And might I add that we already did all this when we started detonating nukes. I call it: human driven space-time meddling , otherwise known as; the ‘kids found the matches’ phenomenon.

Yep, I can just see Cheney and his cousin Barack all robed up for this one.

    lol

Aliens from another dimension, perhaps… I can see how this LHC thing could be used to tie in with “disclosure”.

“or we might send something through it”

Can we, like, send through anyone who currently works for, or has ever worked for, Goldman Sachs?

Ha! Shades of Peter Hamilton’s “The Reality Dysfunction” and the very disturbing sci-fi horror “Event Horizon”.

At this time I’m not taking this very seriously but I can see how any ‘visitors’ could use this to get around questions related to the travel times necessary to get here from other stars even at relativistic (and beyond?) speeds.

Event Horizon was only disturbing due to its awful dialogue and hamfisted plot… 😉 but it might be sensible to crack out your old copy of Half Life. Playing that might prepare you for inter-dimensional terror much like America’s Army did for modern warfare.

I like the fact that we might send something through. Our national debt perhaps? Or lots of gold, to drive the price up? Or do we want lots of gold to come through, so we can drive it down? Maybe some oil too? What else are we short of? Helium 3?

Maybe we’ll send a chunk of the planetary population through, to ease the burden on our natural resources.

My money is on someone farting during the LHC switch on and it doesn’t work again for another year.
