George W. Obama

January 17th, 2010

Via: Village Voice:

Before President Obama, it was grimly accurate to write, as I often did in the Voice, that George W. Bush came into the presidency with no discernible background in constitutional civil liberties or any acquaintance with the Constitution itself. Accordingly, he turned the “war on terror” over to Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld—ardent believers that the Constitution presents grave obstacles in a time of global jihad.

But now, Bush’s successor—who actually taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago—is continuing much of the Bush-Cheney parallel government and, in some cases, is going much further in disregarding our laws and the international treaties we’ve signed.

Uh, let’s see. “His presidency’s just begun, we need to give him more time.” Hm, we’re just a few days shy of the end of his first year, and he hasn’t shown ANY indication he’s planning on changing course… So much for that one. Hmmmm…

How’s this? “He’s a long term visionary, and he’s just lulling his enemies into a false sense of security.” But again, he’s done real things which are affecting real policy and real people, and none of it is really at odds with BushCo’s policies. And we all know the 2 years before the 2012 will be heavily focused on getting re-elected, so he’s sure as hell not going to do anything “controversial” in that time frame. Hmmmm….

I’ve got it! “He’s a brilliant Constitutional scholar, and he’s surrounded himself with the best experts in the whole wide world! They know best, and if we don’t see how right they are, it’s just because we’re morons!”

    Ahhh, that’s better. Nighty-night…

i never for one second ever expected a whit less from president bait&switch (or president pinocchio, take your pick.) than what we’ve gotten. hillary as prez would’ve been no different. none of them would’ve been, except *maybe* -to some degree -ron paul or dennis kucinich, and even with those guys, ‘the other shoe’ later falling would not have been too shocking.

    ‘Politician’ is a failed state.

can’t upload videos in Italy now, right? is that a trend growing?

in the old days before the web local BBSs had networks of courier groups. that will return -via packet radio. i mean, they’re planning on phasing out old-fashioned telephony and going all digital and how secure is that? the courier groups therefore may not be as plentiful as before, but mark my words…

humans ‘love’ challenges, and challenges to freedom are many cuts above.

    gah, prunes.

jesse ventura is my favorite politician. he refuses to do it.

It’s all a bit depressing to say the least when the political corruption becomes so ‘join-the-dots`obvious that you wonder which future timeline we are all going to find ourselves in. It looks pretty darn bleak from where I’m standing.

It’s the fact that all of this was being written about on a several websites before and during the Bush Reich’s reign, namely the Bush to Obama equation. Introduce a major psychopathic puppet-numbskull like Bush to turn up the general populace indignation while allowing the neo-cons to bulldoze in the major building blocks of their dystopian dream, thereby whipping up a fenzy of yearning to escape from the evil Bush-cheney empire and then introduce they carefully marketed Obama waiting in the wings, the perfect antidote: intelligent, Africa-American, democrat, perfect family etc. Then we have a tidy degaussing of the left while engendering real hope and belief in the minorities. I mean it was a masterful stroke.

Then once this little coterie of globalist/Zionist psychopaths have allowed Mr. Obama and his no doubt gargantuan ego to cop the lot for the inevitable implosion that is on the cards in the US, then there’ll wheel in their next candidate ready to inaugurate the final “conflagration” care of the fundies and other whackos and the belief that they will rise up out of the ashes and institute their global pathocratic union… Extraordinary pathology, yet no less real.

I guess the only hope is that the economic collapse is so severe that the jugular of these controllers and their media outlets is severed: But at what cost? Ach.
