Might not be a bad idea.

    Not sure what it all means but Simmons is a big proponent of peak oil theory while also being a huge investor in oil and oil services, which to my way of thinking is a bit of a conflict of interest. Not the first time I’ve heard the nuke option mentioned..so this idea is getting steam..read somewhere though (urban survival i think) an oil engineer who studied this before says not only will the nuke not work, it will make it worse. Perhaps the illuminati oil spill card is indeed being played. Why though? The powers that be control the oil industry and this is bad PR to say the least..an attack on america to further the transfer of power out of the us to china? can’t seem to wrap my tin foil mind around this one yet..

    Many could believe that there is another leak other than the one shown on the video feed. Why would they need to set off a mini-nuclear explosion underground. Why wouldn’t conventional explosives work? Could the same people who first couldn’t manage emergency procedures at the rig, and now keep trying new engineering ideas to stop this be trusted to load a dangerous bomb?

    How about calling in the Russians is they have in fact done this before.

    Let’s kick off some international friendship ties!

    Oh wait, JFK tried that with his idea for the joint USA/Soviet space program 50 years ago and then got his head split.

    Seriously though, this is actually scary stuff, I somehow have the feeling that this is something they don’t have control over and they are shittin’ bricks.

    @realitydesign,
    “They?” are shitting bricks! I hope so. I hope its hard too.
    You will thank me for deleting, just now, a seriouly long winded message that seemed to be all about me in one way or another.
    Heck, I’m really glad to be alive. Just coming off of a long strange journey caring for my Mom and adjusting to the space I have now.
    If you ask me, the world as we know it will not survive this oil spill.
    In fact, I am thinking of storing non-oil-polluted water, and why kind of tee-pees I can make over the plants in my garden when the hurricanes whip all that oil up and send it our way.
    Whatever happens, wow. Seems like we are in for some very weird, unprecendeted times.
    On the other hand, I’m not worried. I think we are in for an “excellent coping adventure” and will do just fine.
    “Move this way onto the evacuation van ma’m.”
