Baby

November 13th, 2007

Becky is in the beginning stages of giving birth to our son!

This is a little post to let all of you know that I will not be updating Cryptogon for a while. I’m not sure how long I’ll be away.

Wow!

Hands shaking a bit…

Ok, please hold story submissions and remember that I have to manually approve comments.

Our daughter was born 13 months ago, and I’m still trying to find time to get things done. You’ll be getting very little sleep for the first few months, and even after that, when the baby sleeps right through the night you still won’t have enough hours in the day.

It’s all good though, and pretty soon you’ll have a hard time remembering sitting up at 3am trying to get a crying baby to sleep.

Congratulations to all three of you. The fun begins now – “the joy bells of matrimony”, as my father always said of me.

    hi kevin,

we’ve got a 7-week-old right now, and he hardly ever cries in the night. maybe a few times a week. he usually just starts groaning when he wants a feed. my partner has him sleeping next to her, so it is easy to get him what he wants without having to get up! but we sleep on a tatami floor on thin futon matresses. i personally wouldn’t do this in a bed, but maybe there is a safe way to do it. every baby is different.

my one main rule about raising kids:

raising kids is NOT a race! they grow up too fast as it is without us pushing them to go any faster.

good luck to you and rebecca! i hope everything goes well.
