Telecom XT Dead Again, Vodafone OK
September 7th, 2010Just FYI: My Telecom XT link has been dead since last night. I called the useless support line and the new innovation was that they hung up on me. They haven’t responded to email.
Vodafone is up and running, so I should be able to update as usual.

not having a happy time with XT then. they are bastards, eh. and ironic considering all the horrendous stories about the Voda ISP operations lately.
now, all we need is each cryptogon reader to chuck in a couple of grand and voila… your own dedicated geostationary satellite (y’know, one the size of shoebox)!!!
Vodafone has been down for the last few hours here. XT just came back on a minute ago. Maybe 2degrees will make their way out here at some point and I can show three out of three mobile broadband networks dead at once at this location.

They do use voda’s network for voice and data in the wopwops (my 2degrees mobile says Vodafone on the screen up here), but they are also rolling out their own network. The new 2degrees network is only active in Auk, Wel, Chch and QT so far.
