“What could the government be contemplating that leads it to make contingency plans to detain without recourse millions of its own citizens?”
February 21st, 2008Via: San Francisco Chronicle:
Since 9/11, and seemingly without the notice of most Americans, the federal government has assumed the authority to institute martial law, arrest a wide swath of dissidents (citizen and noncitizen alike), and detain people without legal or constitutional recourse in the event of “an emergency influx of immigrants in the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs.”
Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees.
According to diplomat and author Peter Dale Scott, the KBR contract is part of a Homeland Security plan titled ENDGAME, which sets as its goal the removal of “all removable aliens” and “potential terrorists.”

“What could the government be contemplating that leads it to make contingency plans to detain without recourse millions of its own citizens?”
9/11 II, of course! After the nuke, after the economy implodes, after the draft and the RFID tagging, we’ll need some place to put all those uncooperative citizens.
Since the definition of “terror” is already being expanded to absurd levels, imagine what it will be like come the next event. You could end up in one of those detention centres for almost anything. And you will be joined by foreigners who dare to raise a whisper – in their own countries – in condemnation of the lockdown and roundup in Amerika.
Well, let’s see. You’ve got a global population depleting renewable resources faster than they can renew and depleting non-renewable resources at a higher and higher rate. I’d say the first thing to go will be available water and the food that water supplies. So first on the list is probably starvation. The U.S. has the oceans to protect against desperate Europeans and Asians, but where is the protection from 50 million starving Mexicans? The government is probably also preparing to deal with internal refugees for when the L.A. basin, the SF Bay Area, the California Central Valley, and every other susceptible coastal valley and basin floods with sea water in about 20 years. The problem is, if the government doesn’t get ready now, then the hordes are going to end up on Dick Cheney’s private hunting reserve, and we can’t have that. If the other side is in power and tries anything radical in behalf of the masses, the president will get assassinated; the vice president will get assassinated; before the speaker of the house is assassinated she or he will have imposed martial law, and those camps will come in handy for keeping an eye both on the reactionaries and on the masses who by then will be uncontrollable except by force, and even then, barely, and not permanently. If you’ve got children or grand children, you may want to start trying to figure out who will be the prevailing warlord in your area, and start currying favor with him or her now. I’d say it most likely will be a charismatic policeman with a military background and strong ties to the gang community. He’s going to need soldiers who will kill without remorse (gang members), a sense of organization (military background), some semblance of social responsibility (policeman), and charisma (to distinguish him from all the other would-be kings of the hill).
project endgame, huh?
resistance is futile.
the name, ‘endgame’, was the title of a star trek story in which the borg was defeated by means of a virus.

and this spoke well of the conundrum a citizen with conscience is put to:

speaking of wikileaks, it blossomed as a topic on the agonist and someone posted a vast list of alias (and mirrors?):

well, just above that comment… -which brought me back full circle on topic…
To me, the frightening part is “undisclosed locations”. A ‘dissident’ reporter, blogger, protester,____ (fill in the blank) could be ‘disappeared’and never heard from again.
As one of those “uncooperative” citizens, THEY are going to have to come and get me. the other thing is this: if these concentration camps are going to be used in case of martial law via economic collapse, I suspect these centers will be used precisely for “cooperative” citizens (you know, the clueless) who will be told these areas are for their own protection and safety from nefarious elements (looters and so on). Probably the same goes in case of a new “9-11” or whatever THEY are planning: I believe that most of these places are for the sheeple…but yes, the most hideous will be for us dissenters. (On the other hand, it just might work out that the sheep are waking up and will see through THEIR crap…and will themselves become dissenters). Which is why I advocate moving to the rural remote. http://www.somethinghappeninghere.net
I just can’t take this stuff too seriously (apart from the Keynesian/boondoggle aspect).
Police-state powers are already more less legal under the guise of the “drug war” — which, just like the “detention” centers and the various resource wars, is perfectly fine with whites, so long as its only non-whites being rounded up.
And if the Bush Administration declares martial law (i.e., if its policies begin to really affect whites’ civil liberties), I would expect its decree to be ignored. Or possibly even that California, and other states, would secede from the nation.
I think my view on this is a cross between Snorky and Shitbrain (now that makes a great combo!). Does anyone know where these detention centers are being built? Sure let’s keep it secret. But think of bird flu, the freak-out show the fear mongers had some two stepping two? I believe these centers were discussed before Katrina- and there are probably some poor folk out there somewhere, lord knows where, behind barbed wire just cause they got on the wrong bus out of NOLA.
I dunno. I’ve read a lot of sci-fi futuristic apocolyptic novels in my time. MANY. And I for one learned from this reading that the ones who “shelter in place” are the ones who survive.
Sure, they were just novels. But the world around me seems to resemble those novels more and more each day.
Christos, 10 years ago I would have never thought I’d be buying gold, storing food, thinking about water, fuel, etc.
In any case, I think that its amazing how many people still watch TV. If the ghouls planning to fill up these camps are to be successful, they will announce the coming scourge, nuke, werewolf – RUN and get thee to THIS CAMP – on American Idol. Get thee to the NEAREST VACCINATION center, or some other such nonsense.
Folks, I’d rather die in my bed alone laying in my own feces than join the crowd looking for someone or somewhere, that is “safe.” My Daddy died a long time ago. The US government, keep me safe? SURE.
Looking to come round me up? I say let’s play hide and seek. I will resist. Besides, I get awfully claustrophobic and can’t stand crowds.
it’s a better gig for halliburton than iraq where the endless protraction becomes increasingly too obviously self-serving and the returns become fewer. troop strength depletion is beyond critical too as we all know.
money.. money. (resistance is futile, eileen, profitable for them even. the briar patch.)
money.
we should keeps ours, put it into precious metals now rather than ameros later. or taxes for that matter. that may ultimately *be* what those shiny new facilities are for; not violent revolt, but tax revolt.
@Peregrino: The climate, food and energy crises are pretty much engineered by the globalists as pretexts for their neo-eugenics program, i.e., the kill-off and the green fascism that will go with it.
The detention camps are, in my view, most likely not for immigrant refugee-holding purposes and instead exist for the incarceration of non-conformists come the lockdown. Nothing similar seems to be being built in highly populated Europe, yet Europeans are perhaps at even greater risk from induced humanitarian crisis than Americans. Unlike Americans though, Europeans are generally socialist (moderately) and don’t own guns.
Another possibility is the camps will be for Americans left homeless after a catastrophic event, such as a nuclear strike on the nation. The domestic refugees would be herded into the camps, microhipped, and later released to be rehabilitated under the control of a new hardcore police state emerging from the ashes.
Whatever the truth about the purpose of these camps, it bodes ill for America because it is has to be judged in the context of increasing surveillance, radical new presidential powers and police state laws, large scale false flag terrorism, a floundering economy and currency, resource crises (real or engineered) and an escalation in aggressive rhetoric towards other nations, i.e. threat of pre-emptive action, including nuclear, that has been reciprocated by Russia.
I agree with Eileen on all of her points, especially how the world around us becomes more like a Dystopic Sci-Fi novel, every day. I would add the following two points to this discussion. 1) historically, concentration camps have been built for the accumulation and subsequent elimiation of undesirables using methods that violate all standards of human decency and conduct. Think of how these people could be used. Shock troops in the war on terrah, “comfort women” for the brave crusaders on leave, research subjects. the mind boggles at the possibilities. 2) i do not think it will be possible to “shelter in place.” All of us, by dint of even being on this forum, are exposed. One would do wel to remember that the “intertubes” were developed by DARPA. What a wonderful honey pot op. Trap people into self exposure, cros reference them with data avaialable from data whores like Choicepoint, couple that with a healthy dose of total information awareness, and VOILA ! U have created the perfect stealth intel op. All of your enemies locations may be plotted with a few clicks of the mouse.
V for Vendetta, anyone.

I wrote a post with a similar warning, re: the Internet as a honeypot turned inside out:

Those of us who came out of the woodwork to say everything we’ve been saying over the past several years have succeeded only in painting bulls’ eyes on our chests. Now they know who we are. And, more importantly, they know who you are; the thought criminals who read sites like Cryptogon.
Well yeah..
Id rather be loud about it and be dragged off kicking and screaming than be taken quietly in the night.
I know one thing for sure – Im gonna die. So is everyone else. So I really have nothing to lose, since losing my life already is a given. No amount of riches and surveillance is ever gonna change that. The Great Equalizer. Or like some books title – “Fear is my only weapon”.
Yeah, THEY know who I am, and have known since 1995-6-7 when we had a little Standoff out here in our rural subdivision (anyone remember the “Republic of Texas” standoff?). I was involved at the beginning of the movement but got out when I realized its leader, Rick McLaren, was only trying to launder money (sorta like Montana’s “Freemen”). Frankly, as I said, THEY will have to come and get me. I know the terrain and where the caves are and such, and, if I have to, I’ll trek the 80 miles through desert and over mountains into Mexico if I have to. the thing is, I truly believe THEY will be too busy rounding up the sheeple, especially those with lots of debt and soccer moms with unpaid sub-prime mortgages, and others who will go willingly.
