I don’t understand how this differs from what is currently available. PS and Gimp both have sharpen options galore, and Gimp has Refocus which does a cheap spectral analysis, which is what I believe this is.
What does disturb me in the video is all of the jackass droids in the audience clapping, whistling and cheering. I’ve never understood what makes people do this at a mediocre technical demo.
Years ago, I was at the MicroGraphix Awards Presentation at Comdex, Lotus was still alive at that time, and every time Micro$oft got an award those idiots from Lotus would start hooping and hollering and clapping, genuinely happy M$ had been awarded something. All, I could think was M$ has targeted you all for death; do you really think kissing their ass and cheering for them is going to save you?
Of course when my product won a minor prize there wasn’t any fcking cheering for me. I got pretty disillusioned with the whole industry in that time period. The whole industry is populated by people who have been conditioned to cheer whenever their masters say cheer.
Seeing this video just brought back those old memories, looks like the brainless game goes on.
PS: As an aside my business partner horrified the lot of these drones at the event. When we went up to collect our award, my partner turned to the mic and said “Windows will be ready, when it is ready for Tempra!” There was dead silence in the hall, mouths were open and gasps were heard, I guess we had gone off script because we refused to suck off Mike Marples (M$ Fatboy as I called him at the time). Nothing bad ever happened to us, they weren’t going to help us before then, so in my view I didn’t give a damn what they thought.

CIA/FBI capabilities filtering downstream to the general public?
