Former CIA Chief Puts Terrorism and Global Warming on Even Par

May 22nd, 2008

Occasionally, when I get irritated, I write rants—that usually contain jokes… That eventually come true. For example, when I joked about the upcoming War on Global Warming…

Here’s part of a comment that I wrote on, “Green Confessions” to Help Eco-Sinners Find Forgiveness:

Do you notice how there’s some form of pointless distraction for every brand of discontent out there, with none of it resulting in any substantial, positive change in anything?

The global warming industrial complex is fascinating in this regard. Almost all of the noise is being made by people who do NOTHING in terms of taking personal responsibility for feeding themselves and dealing with their own wastes. They just want more fascism. Green fascism. Big brother. Skyscraper farms. Genocide.

Incentives to do the right things? Virtually none. Laws preventing people from doing the right things: By the stack.

What will Saint Gore present us with?

God’s endorsement of a microchip implant to provide the Ministry of Love and Global Warming with accurate records of your hot water usage and your pet’s fart output? The War on Global Warming? A database of suspected raw milk consumers, keepers of unregistered chickens and home kill meat eaters?

“It is God’s Will, my Son,” Saint Gore will proclaim.

If environmentalism isn’t libertarian in nature, it’s just more of the same old fascist bullshit. I’m not fooled, even for one second, by these pricks.

And now, the former director of the CIA chimes in on the twin threats of terrorism and global warming.

We know that the war on terrorism is a for profit, bullshit, shakedown scam. So, what is the war on global warming going to be about? That’s a rhetorical question, in my opinion. Even some of the people who read Cryptogon are a bit slow on this matter. That’s ok. The CIA man and St. Gore will lead you to salvation.

Via: New Jersey Jewish News:

Former top spy James Woolsey told a Jewish audience that the world faces two existential threats: global warming and terrorism.

“Malignant” is how he described the former and “malevolent” is how he described the latter as he paced across the small stage of a ballroom at the East Brunswick Hilton.

The former Central Intelligence Agency director under President Bill Clinton and current adviser to John McCain spoke May 13 at the American Jewish Committee Metro New Jersey Area’s National Community Relations Award dinner.

“No, we can’t prove conclusively that in another five or ten years, sea levels are going to be rising by such-and-such a degree,” said Woolsey. “But we can be pretty sure that society, like the individual who smoke five packs a day, is making the risk of climate change worse. What we know is we are making the problem worse by putting so much carbon into the atmosphere, and we are risking catastrophic and exponential change.”

As for terrorism, “the real problem is not just that the systems are vulnerable to malignant threats. Terrorists are smart,” he said. “They don’t need to wait for a tree to touch power lines in a summer storm. They can go on-line and read reports on how vulnerable the transformers are. Firewalls and intrusion detection systems are pretty effective against nine-year-old hackers. But 12-year-old hackers probably give them a real problem.”

And both issues come together in America’s dependence on foreign oil.

“If we don’t fix it, it is our fault. But oil’s distribution and infrastructure is not here,” he said. “Most of it is where the oil is, and two-thirds of the world’s crude oil production is in the Middle East. It is about as crazy as a society can be to depend on a substance for 97 percent of our transportation that comes from that part of the world…To be relaxed about that, as we have been for some time, is just about as self-destructive as a society can get.”

According to Woolsey, Al Qaida failed two years ago in an attack on the world’s largest oil production facility in Saudi Arabia.

“They could have taken about six million barrels of oil offline for well over a year. It would have sent oil up to well over $200 a barrel,” he said on a day that a barrel of oil briefly hit a record of $126.98.

He said the people interested in solving the “malignant” problem of climate change and those who wish to battle the “malevolent” problem of terrorism are “often not the same people, and often they talk past one another. But they both have a point.”

I can see mass extermination centres for cows now, since their farts are a major source of global warming and rising sea levels don’t you know. As a new breed of ECO TERRORISTS, the powers that be will have no choice but to wage war on these very real threats to our non-negotiable way of life.
