light leaves the planet every second. go out far enough and anything, past on up to present, can be seen. reality itself is as always the first perp…

It’s interesting that security personnel are targeting mostly DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) cameras.

I checked Wikepedia to see what is unique about this camera. “A movable mechanical mirror system (2) is switched down (exact 45-degree angle) to direct light from the lens over a matte focusing screen (5) via a condenser lens (6) and a pentaprism/pentamirror…. this mirror/prism system is the characteristic difference…” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_single-lens_reflex_camera

Perhaps this type of camera will expose the “magic show” rumoured to be in the plans for the London Olympics?

    @ Jill
I went down the same road as you.
I wondered if perhaps the combination of significantly higher resolution and the system you describe would make it harder to claim a DSLR photo could have been faked.

    Re “are targeting mostly DSLR”
Your guarding property that gets interest from the homeless, .com spies, drunks, tourists, evil people…
Then you see some happy, arty person with ~$1000’s worth of lens and body taking expensive art book images of a copyright building – from private property without paperwork…
quoting your job to you from some printout….
daring you to call the police…
