Specifically, this program is designed to prepare Homeland Security Corporate Management and Assessment professionals who are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to function as managers of corporate or industrial security programs and who are knowledgeable in state-of-the-art vulnerability assessment, risk management, consequence management, disaster recovery, and continuity techniques and technologies. Today’s Homeland Security Corporate Management and Assessment Managers must not only respond to the challenge of recruiting and retaining talent, they must also understand federal, state, and local regulations, processes and resources so that they may assure not only corporate compliance but also corporate responsibility to the local community.
The Homeland Security profession is one of the most challenging and leading-edge needs in the modern business world. The war on terrorism following the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, is an asymmetric conflict unlike prior conflicts, creating an immediate need in industry and the corporate world for qualified professionals to assess vulnerability and design, implement, and manage security programs which are compliant, current, and dynamic.

Ah, the war economy! Like rapidly metastasizing cancer, pretty soon it’ll take over the whole system. Oops, sorry, that should be “the security economy”. Everybody likes security, right? LOL!
That’s funny. Midway College is an evangelical christian – affiliated, women’s college. That’s right ladies, learn how to physically interrogate those fiendish subversives, and don’t just do it for your country – do it for Jesus!
Of course, this program is probably offered through some new Online College that all the universities are starting up these days, so that the scholarly students enrolled in the program can cheat on those oh-so rigorous multiple-choice exams in the privacy of their own homes.
Yeah, tm. Visions of self-righteous fundies eagerly taking on the Orwellian role of a “boot stamping on a human face”.
Here is a potential candidate for ‘re-education’.

(07-14) 19:23 PDT SAN FRANCISCO — A disgruntled city computer engineer has virtually commandeered San Francisco’s new multimillion-dollar computer network, altering it to deny access to top administrators even as he sits in jail on $5 million bail, authorities said Monday.
Terry Childs, a 43-year-old computer network administrator who lives in Pittsburg, has been charged with four counts of computer tampering and is scheduled to be arraigned today.
Prosecutors say Childs, who works in the Department of Technology at a base salary of just over $126,000, tampered with the city’s new FiberWAN (Wide Area Network), where records such as officials’ e-mails, city payroll files, confidential law enforcement documents and jail inmates’ bookings are stored.
Childs created a password that granted him exclusive access to the system, authorities said. He initially gave pass codes to police, but they didn’t work. When pressed, Childs refused to divulge the real code even when threatened with arrest, they said.
