Well, Texas, you have done it.
As of 3:40 p.m. ET, more than 25,000 Texans have already signed the petition on The White House website to let Texas peacefully secede from United States of America and “create its own NEW government.”

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

Nearly half of the US threatens to secede

As the saying goes: if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Some Americans upset with the results of Election Day don’t quite agree, and now residents from 20 states have filed petitions with the White House to secede from the country.
Louisiana became the first of the (as of now) 50 united states that managed to collect enough signatures to have their petition for secession added to the White House’s website last week, and so far they’ve had no problem finding company. A petition asking for the government to “Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government” garnered more than 14,000 signatures since going live on November 7, and so far 19 other states have managed to attract similar success.

Only thing that bothers me on second glance is the White House will now have names, email addresses, zip codes of the signers …
Would the emperor Obama now use the list to put folks on no-fly, watch and hit lists?? or at least FEMA camp prospects?
Some sort of ‘honey pot’ like Facebook where folks willingly give up their opposition to his empire?

Of course, if they did secede, I predict there would soon be an eighth flag.
I find this terrifying. The US Govt has certainly expected this and with the recent purchase of nearly 1.5 billion rounds of ammunition and a mandate to prepare for mass casualties, appears to be prepared to deal with it. Count me the hell out.
Colorado and Washington are also bucking the feds with their legalization of reefer. It will be very interesting when more states do this. Could possibly start to see state authorities going up against federal authorities. Now that could be fun.
