I’m Out the Door

October 10th, 2008

I’m going to go buy a few truck loads of building materials before the retailers here figure out what has happened.

We’ve got a big garden/chicken system to build and, well, there’s no time like the present!

Especially since the New Zealand dollar is crashing.

Sorry for sparse updates. My satellite connection has been down for the last 12 hours or so. I won’t be able to update until much later.

Good luck.

    Yep,
I hear what you are saying.
I think by the hair of my chinny chin chin I have a contractor who will intstall a steel door and secure “storm” windows (I’m thinking bullet proof plexiglass) on the front of Mom’s house. We are WAY TOO EXPOSED.
That door next week will probably cost 3 or 4 times that much. At this point, (and I’m not going to tell him this) I don’t care how much it costs.
I just want him to do it. NOW.

I think I speak for nearly every regular commentor when I say, no need to apologize. Do whatcha gotta do.

Owen is a very lucky little Scorpio to have the parents that he does.

I’m probably way too late but one of the many things happening at the moment is that timber prices are dropping right now (in NZ). Given that we export 90% of what we produce I’m not sure what that means except that there should be some good deals out there for you.

although you are in the far north…
