February Contribution Summary

March 4th, 2007

In February, Cryptogon and Farmlet readers generated a total of $699.04 via all methods of support (Paypal, Amazon, Bluehost and Adbrite). Becky and I both thank all of you for your generosity.

Amazon purchases via Cryptogon have remained at the high level that started with the legendary Pookie Challenge a couple of months ago. Thanks for remembering to make those purchases via Cryptogon. That’s a great way to help out. You get your goods and Cryptogon and Farmlet get updated with interesting information.

Note: In addition to the commissions, I really enjoy looking at what you guys are buying from Amazon. In case that weirds you out a bit, don’t worry; there’s absolutely no way for me to know who bought what on Amazon. I just see a list of items. Now, I was looking for a simple way of showcasing some of the things that Cryptogon and Farmlet readers are buying because I thought that the rest of you might be curious. I’m not listing everything, but just a few things that seemed interesting, weird or useful. I’m not sure how I want to use this yet, but here goes: The Cryptogon aStore.

If you are considering buying webhosting for the first time, or changing hosts, take a look at what Bluehost has to offer. Cryptogon and Farmlet are hosted on Bluehost, and I’m extremely impressed with their service and pricing. Not only will you get an excellent deal on hosting, but Bluehost will pay Becky and me $65. I’ve written more about it here.

Here’s a nugget you may have missed: looks like there may be a secret clause in Britain’s Trident submarine treaty that was signed by Mrs Thatcher in 1983:

Kevin, can you add this hardened laptop to your cool new Cryptogon aStore?

“The CF-19 falls under Panasonic’s fully rugged moniker, meaning that it will stand up to almost anything. That includes being dropped from almost a metre, being showered with water, being thrown in the mud and being dragged through dust and sand. It’s therefore no surprise that ToughBooks are used by the US military, where the conditions are often inhospitable to say the least. In fact Panasonic was keen to mention that a ToughBook saved a soldier’s life during Desert Storm, which I mentioned in my CF-29 review.”

Are you interested in buying that Panasonic, George?

I choose to remain un-anonymous – I bought lots of “stuff” last month via Amazon through Cryptogon. I like seeing what others bought on Amazon.I don’t use paypal because – well, they’ve had their credit card info stolen in the past. But that’s a kind of dumb excuse on my part because Amazon is big brother tracking device deluxe.
Oh well, follow this amazon –
For Cryptogon and Farmlet – I’ll be ordering John Lennon vs. the U.S., baby wipes, and other undreamed of needs yet soon! Your lives and sites Rock.
