Radiation Concerns Halt Brussels 5G Development

Via: Brussels Times:

Plans for a pilot project to provide high-speed 5G wireless internet in Brussels have been halted due to fears for the health of citizens, according to reports.
In July, the government concluded an agreement with three telecom operators to relax the strict radiation standards in Brussels. But according to the Region, it is now impossible to estimate the radiation from the antennas required for the service.

“I cannot welcome such technology if the radiation standards, which must protect the citizen, are not respected, 5G or not,” Environment minister Céline Fremault (CDH) told Bruzz. “The people of Brussels are not guinea pigs whose health I can sell at a profit. We cannot leave anything to doubt,” she added.

A pilot project is not feasible with the current radiation standards, and Fremault told Bruzz that she does not intend to make an exception.

Good to see there is some counter-narrative somewhere in the world– Environment minister Céline Fremault may even be speaking from a perspective of actual personal integrity. Lacking an equivalent pillar of virtue counterpart here in the US, one functionary who drove rule adoption for the 5G rollout was the 2013-17 FCC chair and former top wireless lobbyist for a dozen years—at minute 13:20:

I suppose Celine will also be prohibiting those ten thousand 5g satellites from transmitting down into Brussels, to be consistent.

For a few years we’ve been getting hints about how sophisticated wireless technology is:

The 2016 MIT article talks about using specific hardware to perform the remote sensing, but there’s no way that specific hardware is required—software/common hardware has become devilishly sophisticated, to the point that Arthur C. Clarke’s adage “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”, seems quite fitting.

So, 5G will be able to constantly have you identified/located using your gait, heartbeat, breathing, etc, etc. How is it not going to be used as a weapon, given the number of bad actors who have backdoor access into all our technological systems?
