“They say “20% as loud as a helicopter” and I found a Bell J2-A at 100 Ft is 100dB, so maybe 93ish dB at 100 feet? That’s about as loud as a motorcycle at 25 feet, so significantly louder still than any road traffic.”
All of those small diameter props… It has to scream. Probably not a coincidence that they play a sort of generic Silicon Valley elevator music on the soundtrack.
I have to disagree about the “music”. That was no soundtrack. They intentionally made the music louder than the voice. Not knowing anything about the business (and I didn’t before today) I would file this under total BS.
I’m sure it’s loud! As to whether it’s even real I will withhold judgment until someone can explain what SpaceX is really doing with 40,000 satellites.
