I’ve been thinking the same thing. This can be looked at as a trial balloon, but that doesn’t really capture it. POTUS advancing this meme ensures confusion. “We’ll work through this folks, no worries” – just wasn’t in the cards.

The astrology for the time around the election is pretty funky, not to mention the lead-up to it (and I would include right now in that time).
The Green Party candidate probably won’t be on the ballot here in Wisconsin, so it looks like I’m voting Libertarian again. (I did so in 2016 because they furnished a straight ticket on the federal level I could vote for.)
