A decent chunk of younger people (single and those with children) aged 25-40 have woken up and are leaving the cities for a more relaxed lifestyle, better opportunities for community connection, and attempts in the direction of self-sufficiency in low-density areas.
Climate, soil and water resources are generally very good in most of Japan.
I won’t run out of spring water or firewood, and lots of people around here grow food. And there are lots of hot springs.
