Blue Origin Manufactured Working Solar Cells and Transmission Wire from Lunar Regolith Simulants

Can someone from Blue Origin (Cryptogon has many readers from there) please let me know how you propose to power this process on the moon? The part about the molten regolith, “At temperatures above 1600 degrees Celsius,” left me wondering how you’re planning to pull that off.

    Ok, assume nuclear power.

    My next question would be: Then why bother melting down the regolith to make solar panels?

    Why not just use the electricity from some small scale fission device directly?
