March 1st, 2023This clip didn’t seem real at first. But the laughter, combined with a profoundly disturbing scene… It reminded me of something.
It’s been a while, but Oliver Stone’s gruesome satire of TV in Natural Born Killers might as well be running in prime time.

It was a joke, it was words. It caused no one to bleed, be dismembered, be raped, or die. I’d rather that than the insane and savage treatment of “infidels” by “Christians” and “Muslims” that’s taken place for centuries, and which still takes place today.
FWIW, I am not anti-religion; in fact I consider myself a very religious person. But when all the “Christians” and “Muslims” and whoever else can honestly say they are as harmless as this guy in this video, then they can claim to be “offended”. Till then, I don’t have much sympathy for them.
With the trajectory of main stream media over the years, that example of waypoint and gruesome end really doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.
Never had the desire to watch Natural Born Killers, but this interview in 1995 with Oliver Stone just before the movie opening is interesting. He was in the infantry in Vietnam which had a big effect on his life’s work.
