A man was arrested at a Robert F. Kennedy Jr. campaign event in Los Angeles on Friday after he allegedly impersonated a U.S. Marshal while carrying a loaded gun, police said.

The event took place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in the 4400 block of West 8th Street, where Kennedy was giving a speech to mark Hispanic Heritage Month by discussing the need for “a comprehensive policy to secure the border and ease immigration pressure,” according to a news release.

The man appeared at a side entrance to the theater, claimed to be part of Kennedy’s security team and told personnel that he needed to be taken to the candidate immediately, Kennedy’s team said in a subsequent news release. Security guards detained him and called police, the release said.

Police received a radio call at about 4:30 p.m. reporting a man with a loaded gun, a shoulder holster and a badge that stated he was a U.S. Marshal, said J Chavez, public information officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. The man did not brandish a gun or threaten anyone, he added.

The man was arrested and taken to Wilshire Station, then booked on suspicion of a felony charge of carrying a concealed firearm, Chavez said. Police identified him as Adrian Paul Aispuro, 44. He remained jailed Saturday in lieu of $35,000 bail, booking records state.

Kennedy’s team said that police also took custody of a second man who arrived with Aispuro and had a backpack containing a handgun, multiple knives and extra ammunition. Police said they had no record of a second arrest.

    WTF!?

“I think a good gift for the President would be a chocolate revolver. And since he’s so busy, you’d probably have to run up to him real quick and hand it to him.” Jack Handy

Wouldn’t the shoulder rig be the first thing the police would remove after handcuffing the suspect? There are magazines still visible in it while he is cuffed. I can’t see if the weapon is still present under his left shoulder, but the mags are definitely there under his right.

Yeah. And Kennedy is now demanding (formerly denied) Secret Service. What other purpose for this stunt?

My thought for a while is that Kennedy is executing a plan to take the Democratic Party apparatus in one fell swoop, and I mean calculated to a machiavellian degree. People consider him a long shot. I see him as the only candidate with an actual resume.

If I were him, I’d still be pissed off that my family was dusted. Of course, I’m not him. For me, Ni Bona Na Croin.

Post Script: I’m not suggesting Kennedy himself had anything to do with a stunt that I don’t understand. And I can hardly believe we’re talking about politics as this ship enters the gyre. Then again, how can we avoid it?

We have to be damn close to some major economic dislocation. My contention is that Biden will be kept vertical until that moment. And in that moment his entire purpose is fall-guy.

Agreed, Dale. He must have been promised a very soft landing, too. I’ve wondered if his dementia is an act to give the news people more baloney to fill up their pages with — trying to occupy our attention with an ongoing cliff-hanger: what will he say next? where will he trip next? Pres. Ford stumbled a lot, and he didn’t have dementia.

    Nice pun!

There’s a pic from the front of the guy who got arrested at .10 minutes into the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoY4T0ZDobM&ab_channel=KTLA5 I can’t see if there is any gun still on him. This news report says a second man was also arrested. The second one had a gun in his backpack.

Maybe the goal was to let Kennedy know how close his enemies can get, to scare him. Nobody can not have a fear reaction to this kind of threat, adding to the stress he is already under. Or… it reminds me of how MLK was threatened, I think by phone, before he went to Memphis anyway. Words are insufficient to describe how evil the participants in the new world regime are. When a good man speaks out, they cringe like Dracula when a cross is held up in front of him. But they don’t give up and go away.
