But that is a clumsy word to pronounce. Something like ‘British Empire’ or ‘American Imperialism’ are more mellifluous. But they are old hat. Our system today is a combination of -ocracies and -isms: oligarchy, feudalism, autocracy, fascism, socialism, etc. So, how about ‘globalism’? Not original, I know, but so… all-encompassing.
Perhaps Oct will bring a noticeable step forward, or downward, followed by increasingly frequent steps into the abyss. If we have a president in 2025, it will not be Trump, or it could be Trump the Total Traitor.
