Gunmen from the Palestinian group Hamas rampaged through Israeli towns on Saturday, killing at least 250 Israelis and escaping with dozens of hostages in by far the deadliest day of violence in Israel since the Yom Kippur war 50 years ago.

More than 230 Gazans were also killed when Israel responded with one of its most devastating days of retaliatory strikes. Fighting continued into the night.

“I served in the IDF 25 years ago, in the intelligence forces. There’s no way Israel did not know of what’s coming.”

    Yep.

I’d put the chances of genuine strategic surprise at approximately 0%.

To what end, though? Blame Iran?

Also, what’s the story with all the M-16-type weapons used by Hamas? Where did those come from???

  3. NH says:

The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, who was elected to run Gaza 16 years ago, made this statement:

To what end? The one the globalists announced years ago: to depopulate the world, whether by war, man-made or natural geologic or climate catastrophe, disease, chemical poisoning, food and water shortages, maybe someday “alien” invasion… It’s tragic to see people killing each other ‘for the defense of their country’ when all the death and destruction really only benefits those who have planned and are carrying out the gradual genocide of all nationalities, races and religions, except the one that Soros and Gates and the Clintons and King Charles and their buddies have sold their souls to.

The link is to a set of maps that show Palestinian loss of land to Israeli takeover, 1946-2000. A following map shows proportionately how much of the US would be left if Israel had taken it over at the same rate.

All of today’s headlines shout out numbers of Israelis killed in the Hamas attack. When’s the last time you saw a headline telling you how many Palestinians died today, or yesterday, or last week, in the unceasing raids by both Israeli soldiers and Gaza settlers who randomly shoot Palestinian men, women and children on their own streets and in their own fields? I wonder what is the total nuumber of dead and wounded on each side, 1946-today. Wonder if I can find anything near the true figures.

  6. Snowman says:

Total Deaths Palestinians Israelis 1946 to 2023.

At least 10,757 Palestinians and 1,346 Israelis have been killed by someone from the other side since 2000. https://israelpalestinetimeline.org/charts/

Not all civilians are equal: 3,803 Palestinians, 177 Israelis since 2008.

The two Wikipedia pages below count victims differently so that it is impossible to make valid comparisons of Israelis with Palestinians. No surprise there.

Israeli casualties of war with all Arabs, not just Palestinians. Between 1948 and 1997, 20,093 Israeli soldiers were killed in combat.

Palestinian casualties of war with all other Arabs and Israel. Total casualties for this period 31,227 fatalities.

Most sites that discuss war casualties do not provide any or few numbers. Many are UN-related sites or mainstream media.
