In other news, U.S. Sending Additional Air Defense Systems to Middle East:
The U.S. will send a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system and additional Patriot air defense missile system battalions to the Middle East, the Pentagon said on Saturday, in response to recent attacks on U.S. troops in the region.
The United States has sent a significant amount of naval power to the Middle East in recent weeks, including two aircraft carriers, their support ships and about 2,000 Marines.

As it looks increasingly like this crazy train is headed off the rails, here are a couple of things to let you know a systemic crash is probably imminent. These are low probability but very high impact scenarios:
1) If the Strait of Hormuz somehow winds up closed/blocked.
2) If Saudi Aramco’s deep water port at Ras Tanura somehow winds up closed/destroyed.
If either of these events occur, we could see a global scale oil shock situation.

In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy, warned that Iran’s Ayatollahs will be ‘wiped off the face of the earth’ should Hezbollah, their proxy terror group in Lebanon, attack Israel.
His incendiary comments raise the grave spectre of a rapidly escalating regional conflict and come ahead of an expected Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip to ‘annihilate’ Hamas.
