I can’t imagine that anyone thinks this was just a brush fire or a forest fire.
I’d like to see aerial video of the rich people’s houses on the island, like politicians’ entertainers’ and sports stars’ houses. The narration doesn’t have to tell which is whose or their addresses, but we need to see how many mansions are unharmed so we can compare them with the burned-out, average folks’ homes and businesses.
@Snowman Here’s one of the “miracle houses” that didn’t burn in the DEWed Lahaina — this wooden house is owned by Trip Millikin and his wife. https://www.civilbeat.org/2023/08/what-saved-the-miracle-house-in-lahaina/ That gaslighting article is at Civil Beat, and when you look at who finances that … well, the major funder is Pierre and Pam Omidyar.
With just a modicum of digging, one finds out that Trip is a retired financier who managed the portfolios of the very wealthy elites. https://www.tclf.org/trip-millikin

Amen.

I read the article’s explanation of why this house was left untouched. Now I get it!
The house has a steel roof. (Never mind that steel cars have been melted.)
This house has a red roof. (Never mind that it was blue things that didn’t melt when red things did.)
There is open land around the house. (Never mind that there is open land around several of the lone cars that melted.)
Etc.
It all makes perfect sense, or not, who cares, when you nevermind. Just ignore all your questions and doubts and mind your own business.
OK, but still, when I look at this house pic, why do I feel my nose is being rubbed in something unpleasant?
