VW Claims Solid State Battery Made By QuantumScape Only Lost 5% Capacity After 1000 Charge Cycles

January 7th, 2024

As someone who has wanted to believe the solid state battery hype over the last decade, it’s a bit like waiting for fusion power plants to spring up.

Via: PC World:

Volkswagen did not create the new battery; it was developed by QuantumScape, a California-based battery technology company. QuantumScape provided a prototype to Volkswagen Group-owned PowerCo, which then tested its performance over several months.

The results far exceeded expectations. PowerCo says the cell retained 95% of its range capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, or the equivalent of roughly 300,000 miles. The current industry standard for EVs targets 20% capacity loss over 700 charging cycles, which means an EV that starts out with a 250-mile range could end its life with a 200-mile range. But with the QuantumScape solid-state battery, it would theoretically only go down to approximately 240 miles of range after much more driving.

Keep in mind, this battery isn’t likely to show up in EVs in the next few years. Singh says the company still has “more work to do” to bring it to market. The next step is finalizing the mass production process.

Can someone explain to me how, on the one hand, the world is coming to an end this year, or will for most of us who are supposed to die from heat exhaustion or pandemic or war, and on the other hand, we’re rushing to buy stocks and gold and bitcoin to protect our financial futures, we’re intensively developing all kinds of alternative energies, and all kinds of improved technologies like EV autos are coming off the assembly lines? Are we just amusing or fooling ourselves by preparing so busily for a future we won’t have? Or is some sort of group instinct inspiring us to carry on because we have a lot farther to go?

Um…It’s complicated. And it’s not getting any simpler!

FWIW, here’s my current take. I hope it doesn’t seem naïve:

It all looked quite orderly before, but went rapidly from step-by-step clockwork progression of the dark agenda to a writhing ball of everything all at once.

There are complicators now abounding, some a wonderful mix of the divine & human, Providence if you will, and some the inevitable result of fallen, impatient, angry beings, with & without skin, trying to seize too much too fast and now dealing with the fallout. Showing their hand aroused awareness and crystallised opposition.

Now there’s disarray in the ranks. The pawns are scared, worried about covering their asses, as are some of the higher-ups, though many still push on, blinded by pride, fear of failure, or the lure of possible gains, avatars of their frustrated and furious string-pullers.

The present play, centred on the covid machine, may end in a retreat (Wouldn’t that be nice?), but followed by licking of wounds and a more calculated regroup. I wonder whether we’ll see civil serpents and more thrown under the bus if it’s decided to dump the albatross and base a new offensive around switching ‘sides’, picking up some new face-masks to present themselves as humanity’s protectors, guardians against what happened ever happening again, more wolves in sheep’s clothing. Still, the gene-genie is integral to things and it’s not going back into the bottle.

Looking further ahead, other powerful pieces will appear on the board, as we’re presently seeing, but I suspect there will be fractionation of the global control dream resulting in a more localised, limited, less monolithic manifestation. In some form, they will achieve their goals, but not for long. For years, I thought this wouldn’t be until the late 2030s, but now I have gleanings that a couple of possibilities could stretch things out considerably further. And, of course, there are the black swans.

Having said all that, the events of the last few years have given us a pretty good freeze frame of the shape of things to come, and one heck of a wake up call regarding the nature of reality, with much more to come. Time to seek the unseen. To quote the Little Prince, “what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

A lot to think about… I read somewhere recently that they do plan to pull back from their in-your-face posture of total, direct domination. They’ll leave national borders intact to make people think their govts are independent. They’ll just sit quietly behind the scenes and govern the govts.

Multi-govt orgs like NATO, EU, and BRICS are at a level in the globalist hierarchy between nations and the top. The top does the planning, WHO, WEF et al do the designing, NATO et al are the manufacturers, nations maintain internal order and supervise the locals, and the locals are us (slaves? refusniks? rebels? our choice). It’s the Rothschild model of int’l bank organization, the Communist Chinese model of govt organization, and the Western model of int’l industry (resource mgmt and production) and service agencies (human mgmt and production) blended into one.

The people at the top got there by birth or ruthless competition (like we’ve seen in China throughout the 20th century). I don’t think we know by name or face who they are. As for those public spokesmen like Al Gore and John Kerry, who are merely third tier, I think they know that everyone lower than the very top is not safe in his position and are doing their best to perform however will at least keep them in place, because they know what’s being done (attempted — we have to make it unsuccessful) to everybody lower down.

As in WWII France and Maoist China, many of the Party members are not true believers but collaborators, putting on an act to save their own skins. That worked for Maurice Chevalier, but shows like the Gore and Kerry dance routine and the Trudeau, Biden, Sunak and Macron quartet are getting stale; time to close them down.

The good news is that the globalists probably won’t launch a nuclear war or a real pandemic, because either one would wipe them out as well as the rest of us. Bunker supplies won’t last for even hundreds of years: eventual degradation and disintegration at every scale is a law of nature.

The further good news is that there are far more good guys than bad guys. The good guys have been mis/disinformed, confused and distracted, but reality is jolting them into thinking clearly and for themselves. The more evidence they see, the more truth they hear, the more reasonable and humane they become. ‘They’ become ‘us’.

Like Hannibal slaughtering his way around the Mediterranean, the globalists have used their elephantine projects to frighten and subdue us. But most of Hannibal’s elephants died from the cold after crossing the Alps. When he got back home, nobody liked his govt ‘reforms’, and he was forced to commit suicide. Globalists must not read much history.

I just discovered a Whitney Webb interview from April, 2023,in which she names names and identifies who’s on which tier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5sgbeLQLS4
    Whitney starts talking at 3:07.

  5. Dennis says:

@Snowman, Thanks for that and for the link. I recently bought Whitney’s ‘One Nation Under Blackmail’ – Volume 1, but have yet to read it.
