I watched only half the video (I intend to watch the whole thing), but if I were to venture a guess as to why this is happening, I would say that there are so many people in the world right now that labor is cheaper than it has ever been (and is made even cheaper by its replacement by advanced machines), and so it is very expensive to have children in all but the least economically developed places in the world. Therefore, people are having fewer children. It could conceivably stop once the population collapse is drastic enough that the price of labor increases, but I would suppose that the population collapse would continue for a while after that point just based on sheer demographic momentum. Whatever ultimately happens or why, it appears that it will be a harsh adjustment for the human race!
