U.K.’s Only Munitions Factory Explodes, Just Days After U.S. Army Ammunition Factory Catches Fires in Scranton, PA

April 23rd, 2024

Via: The Gateway Pundit:

The United Kingdom’s lone munitions filing factory exploded on Wednesday, just two days after a fire erupted at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported on April 15th, the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant (SCAAP), the United States’ primary producer of 155mm artillery shell bodies, caught fire.

Just two days later, on April 17th, a section of the United Kingdom’s lone munition factory exploded after a single shell went off inside the factory.

The explosion occurred at the BAE Systems munitions factory in Glascoed, Wales.

BAE Systems is the biggest defense contractor in Europe and the 7th largest in the world.

The cause of the explosion at the munition factory is currently being investigated.

Don’t ever mess with Mother Russia!

Some say that Trump is actually working with the Democrats, playing along in his theater-trials and so on. Russia, China and the US could be working together behind the scenes, too, putting on a show of enmity while deliberately weakening some of their own countries and allies while strengthening others. There are so many ways to look at current events that the possible plots become too many to keep track of. But it looks to me like all the leaders are involved and the damage will get worse, especially in Western countries — revenge, perhaps, for the West’s treating Russia and China as backwaters for so long.

OK, I drive by the mentioned UK Glascoed BAE site twice a day most days, and I can assure you that it has NOT ‘exploded’. There was an explosion limited to one building, and it was a small explosion. Serious enough, but nothing like I’ve been reading about (people have been jumping to all the wrong conclusions and competing to outdo each other on the scale of what they are claiming…) The plant is very much still in place and still very productive 🙂

You wrote that the plant is, “Still very productive.”

I wasn’t able to find any news that indicated the status of operations at the plant following the incident. I found the initial reports and no updates.

Can you post the source that indicates that the plant is still operational?

Investigation underway following explosion at BAE Systems site in Wales 4/26/24

“There were no injuries as a result of the incident and no risk to local residents. Production was not impacted, BAE added.”

    Thank you!

Thanks Snowman ? I didn’t check back to see when the comment got approved otherwise I’d have posted a link.

The productivity at the plant was rather more impacted by the activities of Gaza protests when I drove by yesterday morning, as they were preventing worker access. First protests I’ve seen here in over 20 years of being around Glascoed. I wonder whether the recent media coverage of the site brought it to the protestors’ attention.
