TIL that dystopian late stage capitalism has a sense of humour, albeit a dark one.

Sure hits the nitrous button for thinking about what the hell it means to have the ability to conjure crypto coins/fiat currency out of thin air—the banksters have been doing it forever, and the st*tcoiners have been doing it for 15 years–but to have the US president endorse a meme coin in his name!!

    This is absolutely massive.

The details are going to be very interesting–was it a fair launch, meaning did the coins get initially allocated/distributed in a way that didn’t put most of them in the founder’s hands, and did Trump receive any–I doubt he did.

The difference of Bitcoin as a proof of work protocol vs most other coins is also going to get some big attention.

It does seem that fiat currencies of the World are going to have to become resource based.
