The Silky Professional Bigboy 2000 Outback (Amazon affiliate link) is an incredibly effective hand saw. Besides use around our property, I’ll pop it into my car if I have to go out during storms. Trees routinely fall across the road around here.

    My brother’s a professional artisanal carpenter. He had me try a Japanese pullsaw — and its, yes, silky cut and ease of use were outstanding.
