After Five Days of Rioting, Retarded Los Angeles Mayor Declares Emergency, Curfew in Downtown
June 10th, 2025Via: USA Today:
Mayor Karen Bass issued a curfew for parts of downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday following intense days of protests over immigration enforcement raids that have left crews to clean up the wreckage and seen thousands of National Guard troops sent to the city.
In a news conference, Bass said the curfew will run from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, in a section of downtown where protests have turned into instances of vandalism and looting.

If money is speech as the supreme court says, then bricks and rocks are Poor Folk cash.
Is this going to be the pattern? Illegals and mercenaries raid some city, trash it, defy police, injure and kill people, then melt back into wherever they came from?
If 1,000 of them had been arrested and immediately loaded onto busses headed for the border, I’d think it was going to be stopped. But the last I read said 41 were arrested and taken for ‘processing,’ which usually means a form is filled out and they are turned loose.
I led my first protest in 1970.
No discussion within the media about tax breaks to zillionaires.
The media discusses if what Trump is doing is legal or not.
No interviews with successful immigrants.
The media refuses to see these protests as being Class Warfare and immeciately introduces race. The Ruling Class know that they can not win a Class War but can easily win a racist war.
It was 1980 that Ronnie Ray-Gun promised me Trickle Down economics and it was all “Fake News”.
The Ruling Class are doing the same thing today as what was done during the Occupy Movement and where everyone was named an anti-semite and racist.
We are watching the collapse of empire. Prior to the US. economic collapse, first will go Britain, Germany or France.
Until then ….. The Ruling Class need to save Capitalism itself.
The economic collapse will be blamed on the policies of Trump and The Clowns and not Capitalism.
Arguably capitalism itself is the very system of control – enforced by competition between “free” workers – that’s supposed to defend the powerful. And racism is a fail-safe.
The “nadir of American race relations” happened quite precisely when the US may have come closest to a revolution along class lines.

Not that competition between workers is inherently problematic.
@soothing hex
Interesting you say that. Seemed to me the obsession with transphobia, DEI, etc. began shortly after the Occupy Wall St protests – ‘We are the 99%’.
When 99% of the people come out in support of Occupy Wall St, then I’ll believe that Occupy is the 99%.
I read some articles in a magazine called the International Socialist Review, or something like that. Some of them asserted that most if not all national govts today, such as the US and China, have state (i.e., govt-run) capitalist economies, regardless of whichever economic system they claim to subscribe to.
In the US, industry runs govt, while in China, govt still runs industry. Either way, the rules controlling finance and production are issued and enforced (or not) by govt, and individuals are free to make the most of them for themselves.
@Snowman
Good point, but it seemed (to me at least) things were quickly heading in that direction as the public on both sides of the political divide saw Wall St had caused the issue, nobody had gone to jail, and Goldman Sachs et al. were invited into the WH to design their own bailouts.
