And Now… “Babies Could Be Born Without Biological Mothers”
October 1st, 2025Via: Telegraph:
Babies could be born without a biological mother after scientists created functional human eggs from skin.
American researchers demonstrated it was possible to replace the DNA from an egg with the genetic material from another person’s skin, and turn it into a sex cell ready for fertilisation.
When the team fertilised the egg with sperm, it began growing into an embryo, until the experiment was halted at six days – the point at which an embryo would be transferred to the womb in IVF.
The breakthrough opens the possibility of skin DNA from a man being placed inside a donor egg and fertilised by another man, leading to a baby with two biological fathers and no DNA from a woman.

Born without a mother; such a horrible thought.
I’m pretending that this is how they do things in an alternate universe, not here.
@dale Actually, some of us, in hindsight, would rather haven taken our chances with only a father.
What could possibly go wrong…?
There’s a particular subgroup of homosexual male whose sexual preference is shaped by extreme narcissism and contempt for the feminine. I imagine those dudes (and their partners) will be all over this.
Does raise an interesting point though: What if you could raise ‘yourself’ informed by the knowledge of your unique makeup which you’ve acquired over the decades?
Pookie, me, too. But I was thinking of the biological and possible beyond-biological consequences to the child. I don’t believe our scientists have figured out or even recognized all that goes into making a human. I hope they never do.
Snowman, you are 100% correct – the scientists have not figured out what goes into this miraculous phenomenon known as life. And they will never figure it out as long they persist with their mechanistic view of life.
@Snowman @djc I agree that most scientists have a reductive, mechanistic view of life. Just look at how “brain death” is determined. It’s a shameful scam to fuel the Big Money organ transplant business. Do NOT agree to be an organ donor on your driver’s license, and make sure your medical directive refuses to agree to any organ or parts removal.

I notice that there’s no news of scientists cloning anybody anymore. Maybe it hasn’t worked out too well after all.
Seems to be a problem with those scientists who think they can figure out everything. If they aren’t in touch with their spiritual side, as the expression has it, or deny there is such a thing, then their knowledge of reality is and will remain incomplete. They know only enough to make them dangerous to all life. I state the obvious, but it isn’t obvious to them, not even worth their serious consideration.
Refusing to donate organs is good. Also good is trying to live so long that they won’t want your old, decrepit body parts.
