Skyfall Nuclear-Powered Cruise Missile Long-Range Test Claimed By Russia

October 27th, 2025

People think the U.S. is nuts.

Putin: Hold my beer.

Via: The War Zone:

Russia has said that it conducted a long-awaited test of its mysterious Burevestnik (also known to NATO as SSC-X-9 Skyfall) cruise missile last week, claiming that it flew for 8,700 miles. The missile, which is nuclear-powered, is said to have remained in the air for around 15 hours. For the time being, we don’t know if those statements are factually accurate, and details about how the missile actually works remain very scarce. However, the claimed test has led to boasts about the missile’s performance from Russian President Vladimir Putin, while his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, called upon Putin to end the war in Ukraine “instead of testing missiles.”

Nice to see an article with all those links. I watched Putin’s presentation more than 7 years ago on the upcoming weapons systems–the (somewhat crude) computer animation of the Burevestnik traveling south along the coast of Argentina, around Cape horn and back north along the Chilian coast –on the way to where? —for some reason it was the most chilling of the 6 “super weapons” that were announced, even more so than the nuclear-powered/armed autonomous torpedo.

Looking back, I think it was because it struck me as the highest expression of a doomsday weapon–The Dead Hand— still flying to its target many hours or days after most of the World has been wiped out with ICBM’s, etc.

We need to all ask–what has flogged the Russians into this extraordinary weapons development phase, as if the very hounds of hell are nipping at their heels?

The hounds are real, and They want to carve up Russia like a turkey.

Great interview with ex hedge fund manager Alex Krainer. He talks about Russia starting about minute 37, but before that, there is a wide-ranging discussion about Venezuela and the various flavors of socialism, including capitalism and fascism (socialism for the corporations):
