    The Maxwell ties alone gave to the Epstein case a ‘Russian’ tint from the start. This is the domain of triple+ agents, where alliance reversals are made fluid, facilitating geopolitical arbitrage. So the question might be, how well did Epstein order his priorities?

    If you ask me, I think the reason Epstein was allowed to be taken down wasn’t because of sex trafficking, it was because he pissed off John Brennan and that whole faction of people, because of his association with MBS and the particular faction that brought MBS to power. I think it’s a consequence of this factionalism between the power elite, because John Brennan hates Trump and all that stuff, and that particular power nexus that saw MBS come up and was close to Trump, close to Kushner. Epstein seemed to be particularly on that side at least at the time of his arrest.—Whitney Webb

    This quite likely has to do with US indecision towards the oil price and the role Israel plays in OPEC division.
