SpaceX Building Gas Turbine Components to Power AI

SpaceX is building its own foundry in Bastrop, Texas, to cast gas turbine blades and vanes, sidestepping a global supply chain where only three foundries can make the parts and order books run through 2029. The move, first reported by The Information and confirmed by Elon Musk, is meant to power SpaceX’s own AI data centers and speed up Starship engine production at the same time.
