Enemy Collaborator Democrats Drop Troop Pullout Dates from Iraq Bill
May 23rd, 2007Who told you so… / Imagine my shock…
Via: New York Times:
Congressional Democrats relented today on their insistence that a war spending measure sought by President Bush also set a date for withdrawing troops from Iraq. The decision to back down, described by senior lawmakers and aides, was a wrenching reversal for some Democrats, who saw their election triumph as a call to force an end to the war. A Democratic effort to include timelines prompted Mr. Bush’s veto of the original bill last month, producing a political impasse.

And the mainstream media called it ‘a compromise’…..
A compromise requires a sacrifice by both sides.
Who compromised?
The US’s so-called two party system. That’s what is compromised.
To quote from Lou Dobbs: “American kleptocracy”
Ah New World Order fun. But this Iraq thing has a air of desperation to it unlike some of the other “conflicts” since WWII. I dont know but it seems like Korea and Vietnam were Military Industrial Complex money makers. No real big deal if you win or lose, its the billions of dollars made by the Pentagon planned economy. But I get the feeling from the rhetoric surrounding Iraq that the USA will fight for thirty years to hold on in Iraq if need be. I have heard Cheney mention peak oil before in a 1999 speach… There was no way they were going to let public opinion break off this little war early. Another shining example of democracy for the world to emulate from the land of the blind home of the slaves.
