Obama on U.S. Automakers: “Starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warranty.”

March 30th, 2009

My initial commentary on this story was:

“Run. Take whatever you can carry and run. Get out of the U.S. now.”

But then I thought, “People will be too busy pissing themselves laughing to run for their lives.”

GOVERNMENT WARRANTY

It is my hope that the steps I am announcing today will go a long way towards answering many of the questions people may have about the future of GM and Chrysler. But just in case there are still nagging doubts, let me say it as plainly as I can — if you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired, just like always. Your warrantee will be safe.

In fact, it will be safer than it’s ever been. Because starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warrantee. [SIC]

It doesn’t matter if you bought a Toyota, Honda, Subaru or Mitsubishi. If you’re an American taxpayer, you now own GM and Chrysler vehicles. Lots of them.

    Lucky us. 🙂

There is only so much I can accept from Obama.
    This draws the line._______________________
What planet is Obama living on?
He may be the savior of the world as per the most progressive channelers in the world, but excuse me. My taxpayer dollars for GM warranties, Jesu Christo.
Pieces of junk from day one, like Sony DVD players, cars built for planned obsolescence.
JUNK gas guzzling heaps of metal designed to consume as many and as much resources on the planet AS POSSIBLE.
NEVER IN A DAY DESIGNED TO SAVE ONE RESOURCE.
Its one thing to buy a Toyota and have problems, but fer crying out LOUD.
    WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?
These same assholes whose CREATIONS we NOW ARE GOING TO WARRANTY?
These same assholes who have spent their livelihoods buying up every patent for engines that didn’t run on oil?
    Oh god.
I wish I was laughing my ass off, but instead I am really PISSED OFF.
