“Is This It?”

April 28th, 2009

Someone emailed, wondering if this is “it” with regard to the swine flu situation:

You’ve seen an event along these lines coming for a long time, is this it?

I wish I could offer something better than: I don’t know. But, I don’t know.

If I had to guess, I’d have to say: No, this probably isn’t “it.” Whatever the true nature of this flu situation is, it doesn’t appear to be causing many deaths. We have seen reports of over one hundred people dead from it in Mexico, but how immune compromised were the people who supposedly died from it? Why are people dropping dead from it there and not elsewhere?

Obviously, being on the outside of whatever the plan is, I’m not going to fathom out the details. For me, personally, these are the questions I ask when assessing the situation:

Are millions of people dying in multiple locations around the world? No.

Are governments forcing people to take vaccinations (or other treatments) for it? No.

Are people being rounded up and taken to camps? No. (Voluntary quarantine of a couple of dozen people around the world doesn’t count, in my opinion.)

In other words, this is probably not The Big One.

I’m not saying that this isn’t some kind of engineered bug, my guess is that it is. But the payload doesn’t seem to be armed, or it’s attenuated, or it’s something less than The Big One would be.

Obviously, it’s early days. The situation could change rapidly. My advice would be to stay tuned in, but not so tuned in that you start to believe whatever bullshit is dribbling out of your TV or radio or Intertube. Stay calm, but have a plan ready to execute if necessary.

Use normal flu avoidance precautions, like washing your hands with soap hot water and eating nutrient dense, whole foods.

Looking ahead, I wouldn’t take the corporate state’s “medicine,” if it should happen to be on offer. If they try to force it on you, only you can decide how that’s going to go. And, if you’re like me, you’re better off not talking about that in public.

FWIW, I agree, based on the reasons you list, this isn’t IT. Others have suggested it’s a “beta”, and that makes sense to me — work out the kinks and bottlenecks in the “support” system before they “go live”.

Personally I’m starting to accept that this isn’t on purpose, that it came from the pig CAFOs.

Still, my B-list theory is that the flu WAS engineered, but by some pharmaceutical concern who sole goal was to sell anti-flu drugs and boost their stock-prices back up again. I mean these firms clearly have no ethics whatsoever….and how easy, cheap and effective a “marketing strategy” would that be when you think about it?

If so, I suppose we should expect similar outbreaks of high-profile fear-mongering about every couple years or so from here on out.

We will now return you to your regularly scheduled programming…

I said it many times, I’ll say it again: virology is a pseudo-science. Viruses are not living organisms (check wikipedia); hence: they don’t mutate or whatever. No virus has ever been proven to cause any disease.

Sounds far off? Read “Fear of the Invisible” by Janine Roberts or generally study the inconsistencies in the HIV-causes-AIDS hypothesis.

Swine flu – like any other virus scare – is a hoax. What it is, or even if it really is something, doesn’t matter. What the authorities say it is, and what (policy) measures they base on it, that’s what’s going to impact our lives.
