Police at Ed and Elaine Brown’s Property
June 7th, 2007That situation is still simmering away…

State, local and federal authorities swarmed the small town of Plainfield on Thursday, fueling speculation that they had come to arrest a couple convicted of tax evasion, but officials said that was not the case.
Ed and Elaine Brown were convicted in January of hiding nearly $2 million in income and not paying taxes on it because they insisted that federal income taxes are invalid. In April, they skipped their sentencing hearings and have been holed up in their house since.
Neighbors spotted heavily armed police near the 110-acre property Thursday morning, but officials said that they were just there to serve a warrant on a dental office owned by the couple in Lebanon.
U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said that the fire trucks, SWAT tanks and bomb disposal unit that were sent to the Plainsfield property were there only to do surveillance of the area.

Here we go, another Waco disaster from which maybe the Oklahoma bombing ensued as revenge and/or in memory of these strong arm tactics?
I wrote a question in February to a friend whether they knew how one could pay taxes but sign in protest. Answer was did not know..
This couple showed up back then on my radar screen. Sending “fire trucks, SWAT tanks and bomb disposal units to the Plainsfield property” to “only to do surveillance of the area” is a freakin joke.
This couple will most likely be killed in “friendly fire.” We had to kill them to make sure that they understand that they must pay taxes. Oh yes, that will REALLY help to calm the “average” not-so-calm American who is maxed out with stress of learning to adjust to life in a dictatorship in general, and with maxed out credit debt in particular. If only my taxes weren’t so high I could make it. Sure.
This is an interesting story to follow, because it is indeed an example of the whole control system. The Brown’s (even the name is symbolic, due to it’s commonalty) were ordered to pay $216,000 in March or face losing property to resolve the debt. Now the authorities are going to spend ten times that much to reinforce the control. All truths ARE self evident. I loved this line, taken from the Brown’s MySpace page.
“A gentleman was walking a dog,” Monier said. “Unfortunately, it required U.S. Marshal Service personnel during that encounter to take him into custody.”
I see another Waco or Ruby Ridge about to happen here and the collective yawn is deafening.
How can there be any other possible outcome but death or imprisonment? Tax collection is a fact of life. It’s also a fact of life that if you take a refusal to pay to its logical conclusion the State will kill you.
I’d guess our keepers didn’t want this to be a pre-election event, but sometime soon the State will have to enforce its will. The State routinely takes property from people for much more trivial debts than what the Brown’s “owe.”
They will either submit to the will of the State or they will be killed. And if you look at this logically, if there is going to be a State fed by income taxes, then the State must eat. For the State, this is a matter of life and death.
