Italy: Neo-Fascist ‘Blackshirts’ to Start Foot Patrols in Milan?

June 15th, 2009

Please tell me this is nonsense.

Via: Telegraph:

A neo-Fascist group that claims it has thousands of recruits has announced plans to start anti-crime foot patrols on the streets of Milan.

The resemblance between their outfits and those of Benito Mussolini’s Blackshirts has triggered a judicial inquiry.

The Italian National Guard says that it has 2,500 recruits. It claims that a third are drawn from former members of the police and Armed Forces.

The Guard revealed its oufits and kit in Milan at the weekend: khaki shirts with armbands bearing the Nazi symbol of the Black Sun, black belts and shoulder straps, black ties, heavy black boots and military style caps decorated with the eagle, symbol of the Roman Empire. They are also equipped with black helmets, black gloves and torches.

Milan prosecutors yesterday opened an inquiry into the Guard, which has been dubbed “the Black Patrols” because of its Fascist-style insignia and uniforms. Fascist and Nazi symbols and slogans are forbidden in Italy under laws passed after the Second World War and the fall of the Fascist dictatorship of Mussolini. Maurizio Monti, deputy head of the Guard, said that the organisation was properly registered. “We do not believe we have committed any crime.”

A law allowing for local patrols to help police to combat street crime is in its final stages in parliament. Patrols have, however, already begun to operate in Italian cities, some organised by the anti-immigrant Northern League, a key ally in the ruling centre-right coalition of Silvio Berlusconi.

Gaetano Saya, the leader of the Guard, is already under investigation for allegedly disseminating racial hatred. He told Corriere della Sera that the Guard was based on the Roman legions. He said that he had taken his cue from Mr Berlusconi’s recent remark that Italy was not and should not be a “multi-ethnic society”.

Nope, it has been heading this way for quite awhile.

After reading Eileen’s post on ‘The James Leininger Reincarnation Story’ I did a quick search for [Hitler “Akashic Records”] having read something once about his interest in them and found the following. It seemed strangely relevant.

    Correction: [Hitler “Akashic Record”]

    @Dennis,
Hah. Wonder what Hitler was looking for in the Akashic record? The key to his impotence ?(Dennis I have never been interested in Hitler but now knowing that he was unable to get a boner on explains a lot of things!)
I am still to this day a firm believer in the teachings of Wilhelm Reich.

Sexual dysfunction I think, as did Reich, is the root of all evil.
If a person cannot find pleasure within the human form that surrounds their spirit. Oh my.
But to give up yoga, astrology, and what not just because the author though they give Hitler his whacky ideas? That Hitler thought they might give him a clue for the way out of his prison? Well, I for one think Hitler might have been on the right track there. Yoga, astrology and what not provide much pleasure to my intellectual and emotional existence so that won’t be something I’ll be giving up just cause Hitler went there and tried that.
Its a very strange phenomenon in the world going on where hatred of ethnicity etc is beginning to run rampant. I do think it hinges on something similar to Hitler’s experience – the preachings of abstinence, the teacher’s that “teach” that denial of the experiences inside the human body is good (don’t masturbate or you’ll go blind), and the lack of teachers to teach how to connect each person to their experience in the body and by doing so, find their soul. The denial of the right to pleasure in the human body is what I think is at the root of the perversions that occurred in the Catholic Church.
These brown shirts in Italy are “disembodied” spirits. If a person does not connect with the spirit that resides within their human shell, through whatever means, its no freaking wonder we have a bunch of disembodied, very unhappy, people searching for methods of expressing their spirit through less than pleasurable means.
I think that religions have been formed throughout the ages to address this issue.
    How to do “no harm.”
But we are spirits living in the material world.
How to teach the millions brought up watching a television that life is uh, best experienced behind a closed door, with the self, or a partner. Hmm.

    @ Eileen 🙂
Please understand my post was not attempting in any way to link you and the moustached one! It was just that your mention of the Akashic Record stirred up a memory of something I’d heard about his interest in it.
