Lawyer Says Sirhan Sirhan Was Brainwashed

A lawyer for Sirhan Sirhan, the confessed assassin of Robert F. Kennedy, plans to present new evidence at a parole board hearing suggesting that he did not act alone, was potentially brain washed and cannot remember anything about the 43-year-old shooting.
“There is no question he was hypno-programmed,” lawyer William F. Pepper told ABCNews.com. “He was set up. He was used. He was manipulated.”
Sirhan will appear before a California parole board on Wednesday for the 14th time since his May 1969 sentencing. It is the first time he will be represented by Pepper.
Taking a page from the conspiracies that have dogged the assassination of Kennedy’s brother President John F. Kennedy, Pepper plans to introduce new evidence that suggests there was a second gunman who fatally shot RFK in the kitchen of a Los Angeles hotel, following his victory in the 1968 California presidential primary.
Pepper said he believes Sirhan was “hypno-programmed,” essentially brainwashed to kill Kennedy and his memories were then erased.
The lawyer’s tale has all the makings of a great conspiracy theory, if not a science fiction thriller akin to the “Manchurian Candidate.”

Congo Gold Smuggling Ring’s Big Texas Ties

A Dallas-based Gulfstream V luxury jet seized for gold smuggling last month by authorities in the war-torn eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is also under investigation for drug running by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The Gulfstream implicated in gold trafficking in Goma was on the DEA’s watch list, according to reporter Melanie Gouby from the Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) news service, as well as the BBC World Service.
Contacted over the weekend, Gouby identified the source of the drug trafficking allegation as Lambert Mendé, a Minister in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the government’s chief spokesman.
“Mendé told me the plane was wanted by the DEA for drug trafficking,” she told us.
Desiere’s Gulfstreams (he has three) are based at Fort Worth Alliance Airport near Dallas, the same airport where the Drug Enforcement Administration keeps its fleet of planes.
New Hampshire: Bill Would Make Some Airport Screening Sexual Assault

Lawmakers and residents engaged in heated debate Tuesday over a bill that would make random airport security pat-downs and body scans criminal in New Hampshire.
The bill (HB628-FN) “makes the touching or viewing with a technological device of a person’s breasts or genitals by a government security agent without probable cause a sexual assault,” according to the introductory text of the bill.
“Let’s put their name on the sex offender registry, and maybe that will tell them New Hampshire means business,” said bill co-sponsor Rep. Andrew Manuse, R-Derry.

Also, apparently because of the state of emergency, the distribution of the disgusting chemical toilets is being administered by the state. Individuals aren’t allowed to hire chemical toilets. Look and learn, people. Look and learn.

Demand for temporary toilets in Christchurch is so high that one company is importing them from Australia – but private households won’t be allowed to hire them.
Hirepool operates Port-A-Loo and so far it had sent 500 to the city, chief executive Mark Powell said.
It is one of a number of businesses servicing residents. Under legislation – because the units are deemed assets of importance – Civil Defence has to co-ordinate where the toilets go.
Staff were having a hard time explaining the company’s legislative obligations to residents, resthomes and businesses who just wanted to sort sanitation problems themselves, Mr Powell said.
“We’re not actually able to hire out to private citizens. Our guys are driving past people and they’re being waved down by people who are yelling ‘stop I need a toilet.’
“It’s really hard saying ‘I’m sorry I can’t help .”
Mr Powell advised residents to call authorities and tell them how many people were in their street so their needs could be addressed faster.
In the meantime, the company was in the process of sourcing 300 more toilets from Australia.
Iran Arrests Opposition Leaders

Oil rose from the lowest in a week in New York as Libyan crude exports were curbed by fighting in the North African country while demonstrations planned in Iran raised concern of wider disruptions.
Futures climbed as much as 1 percent after authorities in Iran, the second-largest producer in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, arrested opposition leaders to derail demonstrations scheduled for today. Fighting in Libya may have shut as much as 850,000 barrels a day of output, according to the International Energy Agency.

Bahrain’s government Tuesday denied rumors that Saudi Arabian tanks had crossed into the island kingdom.
“There are no Saudi Arabian tanks in Bahrain,” Bahrain’s information ministry said in a statement, adding that tanks identified in news reports as crossing the border Monday evening were Bahraini tanks returning from Kuwait, where they had taken part in national day celebrations.
“Tanks identified on Monday evening were Bahraini tanks returning from Kuwait National Day celebrations, where military from several Allied countries participated in an event commemorating Kuwait’s liberation in 1991,” the statement said.

A report that Saudi Arabia has sent tanks to neighbouring Bahrain knocks UK shares and pushes oil and gold prices higher.
The Saudi Arabia stock exchange fell nearly 500 points or over 5% after a local news agency reported Saudi tanks were heading to neighbouring Bahrain while other reports suggested unrest in the kingdom was picking up momentum.
Eyewitness reports say Saudi Arabia is sending 15 tanks to Bahrain to help shore up the country’s government ahead of pro-democracy marches in the country.

Ideas for a Television Show About ‘Conspiracy Theories’
March 1st, 2011The executive producer of a television show that deals with conspiracy theories emailed me. He stated that he reads Cryptogon and likes it. He then went on to ask me for ideas for his show. I responded with some ideas. For whatever reason, the person no longer wishes to communicate with me. That’s fine.
The reason I’m posting about this is because the people behind the show are definitely reading Cryptogon, so I thought I’d open it up to you guys to post ideas for a show that you would like to see them do.
Admittedly, while I’m aware of the show in question, I’ve only seen short clips of it online. That is, I haven’t seen enough of it to form a solid opinion one way or another. What I have seen is, uh, well, let’s be kind and say that it’s entertainment that’s meant to appeal to a wide audience.
Rather than assuming the worst, which is almost always the right course of action when it comes to mainstream media, for purposes of this post, let’s assume that the people behind this show are genuinely interested in presenting a more complete understanding of events. While they can’t/won’t go as far as we would like, maybe a little bit of this kind of information, widely distributed, is better than nothing.
I don’t know which part of what I wrote (below) switched this guy off, but at a minimum, it’s interesting to see how information (which is mundane by Cryptogon standards) freaks people out who are lashed to the mast of mainstream media.
Also, after re-reading what I’d written, I forgot to mention the biggest one of them all, the Federal Reserve. Ha. I guess I’ve been dealing with that one for so long that I’m numb to it, but, really, that’s one that pervades just about everything else. So, pay attention, conspiracy theory television show executives: The Federal Reserve/fiat currency/fractional reserve lending issues should be on the list too.
I’ve redacted some information from the emails I received from the executive producer of the television show to maintain his privacy.

Food is one of the themes I keep returning to on my site, year in and year out. I refer to food as a “gateway issue” that has the capability of getting people to see the bigger picture. Everyone understands that they need to eat, but few stop to consider what they’re actually eating.
Industrial food production in the U.S. is an absolute nightmare. Monsanto is a public menace, with their FrankenpHood showing up everywhere.
People who respond by producing delicious, nutrient dense foods sometimes wind up having guns pointed at them.

Monsanto / genetically engineered food / police state tactics directed against people who resist would make a great show. I doubt that you would be able to do this show, because Monsanto will get to you through advertisers on the network. But maybe it’s possible.
I know you’ve done a Big Brother show already, but the situation is much worse than that. Look into MAIN CORE:
NSA employee Russell Tice wanted to tell congress about some aspect of a covert surveillance program that was so off the rails illegal that he became a whistleblower. He wound up being fired and he never had his meeting with congressional oversight officials:
“In my case, there’s no way the programs I want to talk to Congress about should be public ever, unless maybe in 200 years they want to declassify them. You should never learn about it; no one at the Times should ever learn about these things.”

I suspect that part of the program entails full time geographical tracking of the targeted individuals via the mobile phone network. That’s just a guess, based on my overall consideration of the information.

The surveillance issue is much worse than most people know.
Another idea would be a look into the efforts of the U.S. government to build autonomous combat robots. This isn’t a conspiracy, per se. It’s happening. Slowly.
I actually worked for some people who were involved with this and it was so terrifying to me that I wanted to make a full length documentary film about it. I didn’t do it because I quickly realized that I simply didn’t have the money I’d need to travel around to conduct the interviews.
You could do a broader view of the issue of the increasing use of robots in industry, but the military side of this is particularly disturbing. They’re funding research into artificial intelligence and robotics at every major university, and many minor ones as well. I don’t even focus on it full time, but check out my Rise of the Machines category for some references:

So, that’s what I sent, and I didn’t hear anything back after that. A week or so later, I sent a follow up email with a copy of the information above, just in case it didn’t arrive the first time. Again, no response. For a moment, I thought that maybe I got punked by some trickster, so I called the number he gave for the production company in California, and I spoke to someone to verify the contact information I had been given. I hadn’t been tricked. I had definitely been contacted by the executive producer of that show. I didn’t feel like calling the guy’s cell phone number, which he provided to me initially.
That’s it. So, who cares?
Again, the only reason I spent any time at all dealing with this (and why I’m posting about it) is the almost certainly naïve belief that exposing more people to this genre of information (even via corporate television) might be helpful.

U.S. REPOSITIONING FORCES AROUND LIBYA

The U.S. military is repositioning naval and air forces around Libya, a Pentagon official said on Monday, as international demands intensify for an end to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s four-decade rule.
“We have planners working and various contingency plans and I think it’s safe to say as part of that we’re repositioning forces to be able to provide for that flexibility once decisions are made … to be able to provide options and flexibility,” said Colonel David Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman.

The Pentagon now has two aircraft carriers in its naval command region that includes the Arabian Sea and Gulf, Lapan said, but does not have any carriers in the Mediterranean.
