Biden Press Secretary Says ‘You’re With The Smugglers If You Claim Border Is Open’
December 22nd, 2022Via: Summit News:
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre astoundingly asserted Monday that it is ‘misinformation’ to suggest the Southern borer is wide open.
“We know smugglers will try to spread misinformation to take advantage of these vulnerable migrants. But I want to be very clear here. The fact is that the removal of Title 42 does not mean the border is open,” Jean-Pierre stated during a briefing.
“Anyone who suggests otherwise is simply doing the work of these smugglers, who, again, are spreading misinformation, which is very dangerous,” she added.
Twitter Aided U.S. Military Covert Online Propaganda Campaign, Latest Twitter Files Reveal
December 22nd, 2022They’re not shy about it.
Via: The Defender:
Part eight of the “Twitter files,” released Tuesday, revealed another layer of collusion between Twitter and elements of the U.S. government and military establishment, including that Twitter protected numerous accounts and personas created by the U.S. military for the dissemination of propaganda in the Middle East and beyond.
The latest “Twitter files” document drop, posted by journalist Lee Fang of The Intercept, revealed that Twitter knowingly violated its own internal policies and public claims that it prohibited all forms of government-backed propaganda.
The accounts created by the Pentagon and U.S. military sought to influence public opinion in several countries.
…
Despite Twitter’s claims that it made “concerted efforts to detect and thwart government-backed covert propaganda campaigns,” the company, “behind the scenes … provided direct approval and internal protection to the U.S. military’s network of social media accounts and online personas,” Fang wrote for The Intercept.
This included Twitter “whitelisting a batch of accounts at the request of the government,” Fang said. “The Pentagon has used this network, which includes U.S. government-generated news portals and memes, in an effort to shape opinion in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, and beyond.”
“Despite knowledge that Pentagon propaganda accounts used covert identities, Twitter did not suspend many for around 2 years or more. Some remain active,” tweeted Fang.

Two Sam Bankman-Fried Associates Throw Him Under the Bus, “Better Get Someone to Fix His Prison Cam”
December 22nd, 2022Via: ZeroHedge:
Ellison pleaded guilty to seven counts, including wire and securities fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering, which carry a maximum sentence of 110 years in prison, while Wang pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud, with a maximum 50-year sentence.
…
Concurrently, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission also filed civil lawsuits against the 28-year-old Ellison and 29-year-old Wang, accusing them of fraud.
“As part of their deception, we allege that Caroline Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried schemed to manipulate the price of FTT, an exchange crypto security token that was integral to FTX, to prop up the value of their house of cards,” said SEC chair Gary Gensler. Furthermore, as CEO of the FTX trading affiliate, Ellison “used FTX’s customer assets to pay Alameda’s debts” and diverted billions of dollars of depositors’ money to the company to fill a hole caused by a crypto market crash in May, the SEC’s complaint alleges.
The CFTC said Wang had a hand in creating some of the algorithms that underpinned FTX, which allowed Alameda “to maintain an essentially unlimited line of credit” on the exchange, giving it an “unfair advantage” over regular depositors. “These critical code features and structural exceptions allowed Alameda to secretly and recklessly siphon FTX customer assets from the FTX platform.”
Both defendants are co-operating with the SEC, the agency said. The CFTC said they were not contesting their liability. Which means that SBF is looking at a lot of prison time, unless he too can throw someone even more important and powerful under the bus…

Wells Fargo Ordered To Pay $3.7 Billion Over Widespread Illegal Activity

Wells Fargo has been ordered to pay $3.7 billion by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for a variety of illegal activity, including wrongfully foreclosing on homes, illegally repossessing vehicles, incorrectly assessing fees and interest, and charging surprise overdraft fees.
The activity affected more than 16 million consumer accounts.
The fine consists of more than $2 billion in redress to customers, and a $1.7 billion civil penalty.
“Wells Fargo’s rinse-repeat cycle of violating the law has harmed millions of American families,” said CFPB Director Rohit Chopra. “The CFPB is ordering Wells Fargo to refund billions of dollars to consumers across the country. This is an important initial step for accountability and long-term reform of this repeat offender.”
