Russian Military Given Formal Order To Target Ukraine’s Long-Range Weapons From U.S.

July 19th, 2022

Via: ZeroHedge:

Russia’s defense ministry has issued a formal order for Russian troops to target Ukraine’s long-range weapons and artillery supplied by the West, specifically the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) provided by the United States.

In Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu publishing the order on Monday, the Kremlin is sending one of the most provocative messages to Washington thus far in the war, signaling the two powers continue stumbling toward direct confrontation.

“Army General Sergey Shoigu… instructed the commander to use surgical strikes and crush the enemy’s long-range missile and artillery means,” the Russian Defense Ministry said according to TASS.

COVID-19 Mystery: Why Some People Get It and Others Don’t

July 19th, 2022

Nobody in my immediate family has been vaccinated and we haven’t caught Covid. Or, if we did catch it, we didn’t know it. My children do martial arts with children who attend a local high school, which is a superspreader facility. I keep thinking we’re going to get it, but winter keeps passing us by without it happening. My children all caught colds multiple times this year. I caught a cold. My wife caught a cold. We all did rapid antigen tests, multiple times, and none of them were ever positive for Covid.

None of our unvaccinated friends, or their children, have caught it, as far as they know, and some of those unvaccinated children attend the superspreader high school.

We know more unvaccinated non-compliant people than people who took the shots, but most of the ones who took the shots that we know have had a hell of a time. One person took the shots to avoid losing her job. She got long Covid. Her husband and two children, all unvaccinated, didn’t get it.

I have family members who are vaccine maximalists. They would inject plutonium into themselves and their children if the TV said to do it. Anyway, the madness got to the point where they all started wearing masks inside their own house. And, that’s right, they all got Covid.

Post-jab outcomes for other family members: Heart attack, Parkinson’s disease, and vomiting blood.

I could go on and on…

The thing to keep in mind is that I mostly keep to myself and hardly know anyone. I’m hearing WAAAAAAAAAY too many weird stories from such a small number of people who took the shots.

Anyway, how can it be that none of the unvaccinated people I know have caught Covid, while most of the vaccinated I know have? I had a doctor tell me we’re just lucky.

Mmm hmm.

Media Confidence Ratings at Record Lows

July 19th, 2022

Via: Gallup:

Americans’ confidence in two facets of the news media — newspapers and television news — has fallen to all-time low points. Just 16% of U.S. adults now say they have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers and 11% in television news. Both readings are down five percentage points since last year.

Gallup has tracked Americans’ confidence in newspapers since 1973 and television news since 1993 as part of its annual polling about major U.S. institutions. The latest readings are from a June 1-20 poll that saw declines in confidence ratings for 11 of the 16 institutions measured and no improvements for any.

Television news and newspapers rank nearly at the bottom of that list of institutions, with only Congress garnering less confidence from the public than TV news. While these two news institutions have never earned high confidence ratings, they have fallen in the rankings in recent years.

New Records Detail DHS Purchase and Use of Vast Quantities of Cell Phone Location Data

July 18th, 2022

Via: ACLU:

Today, the ACLU published thousands of pages of previously unreleased records about how Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and other parts of the Department of Homeland Security are sidestepping our Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable government searches and seizures by buying access to, and using, huge volumes of people’s cell phone location information quietly extracted from smartphone apps.

The records, which the ACLU obtained over the course of the last year through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, shed new light on the government’s ability to obtain our most private information by simply opening the federal wallet. These documents are further proof that Congress needs to pass the Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act, which would end law enforcement agencies’ practice of buying their way around the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement.

ICE’s and CBP’s warrantless purchase of access to people’s sensitive location information was first reported by The Wall Street Journal in early 2020. After the news broke, we submitted a FOIA request to DHS, ICE, and CBP, and we sued to force the agencies to respond to the request in December 2020. Although the litigation is ongoing, we are now making public the records that CBP, ICE, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Coast Guard, and several offices within DHS Headquarters have provided us to date.

The released records shine a light on the millions of taxpayer dollars DHS used to buy access to cell phone location information being aggregated and sold by two shadowy data brokers, Venntel and Babel Street. The documents expose those companies’ — and the government’s — attempts to rationalize this unfettered sale of massive quantities of data in the face of U.S. Supreme Court precedent protecting similar cell phone location data against warrantless government access.

Women Experience Alteration of Menstrual Cycles After COVID Vaccination

July 18th, 2022

Via: Miami Herald:

With more than 222 million people in the U.S. fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, some reports, as well as questions, have emerged about the vaccines’ potential effects on the body — including on menstrual cycles.

One dose of a COVID-19 vaccine was found to temporarily alter menstruation and was linked to a slightly longer cycle in a study published in January, McClatchy News previously reported. This work received funding from the National Institutes of Health.

Months later, another study has found menstrual cycles may temporarily change after a person gets a COVID-19 vaccine.

Thousands of people who received two COVID-19 vaccine doses experienced a change in their typical periods, including heavier periods or breakthrough bleeding, according to a study published July 15 in the journal Science Advances. The work also received NIH funding.

Of those with regular periods, 42% said they had heavier bleeding after at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, the study found. In comparison, about 44% reported their flow did not change. Additionally, roughly 14% experienced a mix of a lighter flow or no change.

Gazprom Declares Force Majeure, Will Halt Gas Flows To Germany Indefinitely

July 18th, 2022

Winter is coming.

Via: ZeroHedge:

Already days before the July 22 European “Doomsday” when the scheduled Russian 10-day maintenance of the crucial Nord Stream pipeline to Germany is slated to end – but which was thrown into deep doubt given Gazprom recently said it can no longer guarantee its “good functioning” due to crucial turbines being previously held up in Canada related to sanctions – the Russian energy giant has declared Force Majeure to one major European customer.

Simply put, Gazprom declared extraordinary and extreme circumstances to void itself from all contractual obligations to this customer, thus the gas will stop flowing indefinitely, as Reuters reports in a breaking development Monday, “Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom has declared force majeure on gas supplies to Europe to at least one major customer starting June 14, according to the letter seen by Reuters.” The letter is dated July 14. “It said the force majeure measure, a clause invoked when a business is hit by something beyond its control, was effective from deliveries starting from June 14,” writes Reuters.
