Wall Street won’t rest until it become the biggest – and perhaps only – landlord in the US.
At least that’s the impression one gets by observing the behavior of the two Wall Street “black” giants, Blackrock and Blackstone. As a reminder, the WSJ sparked widespread outrage recently when it exposed what most industry insiders had known for a long time, namely that Blackrock (and other institutional investors) have been ravenously gobbling up US real estate. Now it’s Blackstone’s turn.
On Tuesday, the WSJ reported that Blackstone – which already is not only America’s largest landlord but also the world’s largest real estate company with a $325 billion portfolio – has agreed to buy single-family rental company Home Partners of America for $6 billion, betting the demand for suburban housing will stay hot even as the pandemic eases. Home Partners owns more than 17,000 houses in the United States; the company buys, rents out and eventually offers its tenants a chance to buy them. Now all those functions will be done by the largest US private equity firm.

Boryana Straubel, Wife of Tesla Co-Founder JB Straubel, Killed While Riding Bicycle
June 21st, 2021—
Also, Redwood Materials Spending ‘Hundreds Of Millions’ To Speed Recycling For EV Batteries:
Redwood Materials, a battery recycler created by Tesla cofounder JB Straubel, says it’s more than tripling the size of its operations in Nevada and will spend “hundreds of millions” to scale up recovery of lithium, cobalt, nickel and other commodity metals it sells to makers of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
Straubel, speaking in an Energy Department roundtable on Monday, told U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, that his Carson City, Nevada-based company is “hiring about 500 people here in just the next one or two years and investing several hundred million dollars into this particular area into those recycling facilities and scaling that up right now.”
Redwood said in an email message that it has purchased 100 acres near Tesla’s Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada, and intends to expand its current 150,000-square-foot facility in the state by more than 400,000-square-feet. Additionally, it will hire about 500 more workers over the next two years, up from 130 people currently.
Straubel said the expansion is being paid for with privately raised funds, but didn’t say how much the company has raised. Redwood Materials has been tight-lipped about its fundraising activities, disclosing only a July 2020 investment round that brought in $40 million from Amazon, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Palo Alto-based Capricorn Investment Group. Straubel has likely invested millions more from his own fortune which Forbes estimates is at least $900 million.
And then…

The bicyclist killed in Washoe Valley Saturday has been identified as 38-year-old Boryana Straubel. According to NHP, Straubel was riding north on US-395A in the designated bike lane, when a silver Ford Edge crossed the double yellow line, entered the southbound travel lanes, and struck her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is still unclear why the driver failed to stay in their lane, and the crash remains under investigation.
Google & USAID Funded Wuhan Collaborator Peter Daszak’s Virus Experiments For Over A Decade
June 21st, 2021Via: National Pulse:
The unearthed financial ties between EcoHealth Alliance and Google follow months of big tech censorship of stories and individuals in support of the COVID-19 “lab leak” theory.
The Google-backed EcoHealth Alliance played a critical role in the cover-up of COVID-19’s origins through its president, Peter Daszak.
Daszak served on the wildly compromised World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 investigation team. He championed the efforts to “debunk” the lab origin theory of the virus, despite mounting support for the claim first made by experts on Steve Bannon’s War Room: Pandemic podcast in early January 2020.
Left-wing websites masquerading as “fact checkers” still call the lab theory “false,” despite the shift in tone from the Biden regime, leading world scientists, and intelligence officials.
EcoHealth Alliance also funneled hundreds of thousands of U.S. taxpayer dollars from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to its research partner, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, to conduct studies on “killer” bat coronaviruses.
And Google.org, the charity arm of the tech behemoth, has also been funding studies carried out by EcoHealth alliance researchers including Peter Daszak since at least 2010.

America’s Soup-Brained President Says The U.S. Never Interferes In Other Countries’ Elections
June 21st, 2021Via: Caitlin Johnstone:
The fact that the entire press corps did not erupt in side-splitting laughter at this ridiculous utterance is in itself proof that western news media is pure propaganda. The United States has directly interfered in scores of foreign elections since it began its ascent to global domination at the end of the second World War, to say nothing of all the coups, color revolutions, proxy conflicts and regime change military invasions it has also participated in during that time. The US openly interfered in Russia’s elections in the nineties, and literally just tried to stage a coup in Bolivia by interfering in its democratic process. The US is far and away the single most egregious offender in the world on this front, which is largely why it is perceived around the world as a greater threat to democracy than any other government.

TSMC: The World Relies on One Chip Maker in Taiwan, Leaving Everyone Vulnerable
June 19th, 2021Via: Wall Street Journal:
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s chips are everywhere, though most consumers don’t know it.
The company makes almost all of the world’s most sophisticated chips, and many of the simpler ones, too. They’re in billions of products with built-in electronics, including iPhones, personal computers and cars—all without any obvious sign they came from TSMC, which does the manufacturing for better-known companies that design them, like Apple Inc. and Qualcomm Inc.
TSMC has emerged over the past several years as the world’s most important semiconductor company, with enormous influence over the global economy. With a market cap of around $550 billion, it ranks as the world’s 11th most valuable company.
Its dominance leaves the world in a vulnerable position, however. As more technologies require chips of mind-boggling complexity, more are coming from this one company, on an island that’s a focal point of tensions between the U.S. and China, which claims Taiwan as its own.
Edelman PR and the Manufacturing of “Trust”
June 18th, 2021Via: Unlimited Hangout:
“We need to regain trust” is the theme of the year, according to remarks made by the World Economic Forum’s executive chairman Klaus Schwab in January 2021. But trust may be hard to engineer in an age of professional disinformation campaigns by governments, the mainstream media, and a handful of powerful elite public relations companies.
Edelman, an American public relations and marketing consultancy firm founded by Daniel J. Edelman in 1952, is the largest public relations firm in the world by revenue, and some would also say by reputation. Today, the company is run by Daniel Edelman’s son, Richard Edelman. It is a firm with a rich history of controversial efforts to completely change the narrative of some of the most contentious modern issues. It also boasts close ties to the World Economic Forum and the Forum’s attempt to engineer “trust” in its various agendas.
Edelman is often found representing organizations experiencing what could be best termed as public relations nightmare scenarios. Edelman, with its previous experience representing the American Petroleum Institute—the trade association for the oil and gas industry that lobbied for the Keystone XL pipeline and the fossil fuel exploration of the Canadian tar sands—is no stranger to advocating for companies stuck in atypical negative PR situations with little, if any, possible positive outcomes. If you are a giant corporation with a reputation to launder, then Edelman is the go-to professional firm to help your organization rebuild its image or to simply help mitigate as much reputational damage as possible.
