New FBI Investigation Into Hillary Clinton Emails

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking into newly discovered emails linked to Hillary Clinton’s just 11 days before the presidential election, reigniting a massive controversy that has haunted the Clinton campaign for months.
Three months after the investigation into Ms Clinton’s emails recommended no criminal charges be filed, FBI director James Comey said on Friday he had found more messages that appeared to be “pertinent” to the investigation of Ms Clinton’s alleged misuse of her personal email server when she was Secretary of State.
The emails on a government computer were reportedly obtained via the FBI’s investigation into former congressman Anthony Weiner, the former husband of Clinton aide Huma Abedin, over allegations he sent sexual messages to a minor.

Yep. I’d agree with that.
As far as I can tell, this authoritatively blows away all other residential energy storage options.
14 kWh capacity for $5,500, 5kW (7kW peak) inverter included, AC/DC charging options. It looks like hybrid, backup and off-grid modes will be available.
This is a bit disturbing because this upsets the entire storage industry. There is no competition to this. For companies with existing energy storage offerings, there are two options:
1) Drastically drop prices
2) Die
And what’s Tesla going to do next year? Double the capacity again?

U.S. Presidential Election: Consider Increasing Readiness
October 28th, 2016Say that your Doom Condition scale runs from 5 to 1, with 5 representing ‘Situation Normal’ to 1 representing flaming zombies wandering the streets, etc.
Even on the best of days, I keep my own DoomCon dial set to 4, because ‘Situation Normal’ looks pretty bad in many ways.
With the way the markets are behaving, and with the presidential election disaster right around the corner, I’d take it down another notch to DoomCon 3 for people in the U.S.
If you have a doomstead somewhere, it might not be bad idea to take a little vacation out there for the next couple of weeks.
Team Hillary running provocateurs and engaging in vote fraud indicates to me that they are willing to get this thing done by any means necessary.
Trump may accept defeat, or he may not.
And what if, by some miracle, Trump wins?!
Impossible, right?

A professor who developed a model which successfully predicted all but one presidential election result for the past 100 years has claimed Donald Trump will win the election.
Professor Helmut Norpoth, of New York’s SUNY Stony Brook University, said the Republican candidate was likely to triumph in two weeks time because he was the strongest candidate in the primaries.
The political scientist developed a model which, when applied retroactively, accurately predicted every presidential election since 1912 – with the exception of the 2000 election, when it said Democratic candidate Al Gore would win.
Mr Gore won the popular vote, but following a disputde result in Florida, George W Bush was awarded more votes in the Electoral College and thus won the election.
The model suggests that the candidate who performs better in their parties primary race will go on to win the presidency.
But I just can’t see Trump happening. I think it’s because I spent a lot of time in college learning about the the global order that emerged after World War 2, and the decades of atrocities that followed.
Hillary represents the crew behind all of that.
Are those people going to let a guy into power who wants to upset the apple cart? Get rid of NAFTA. Weaken NATO. Cut off the source of infinite cheap labor through the southern border. Mess with protected narcotics trafficking networks. On and on.
I don’t think so.
A reader suggested that maybe Trump could be allowed in right before They scuttle the ship, blaming the whole disaster on him.
Hmm.
That is a situation I had not thought of previously. Maybe, but I doubt it will happen because it’s just too hairy. Too many wildcards.
So, breaking it down, I think that there’s about a 60% chance that Hillary will be installed without any major short term problems.
But…
I’d say that there’s a 40% chance of moderate social unrest and/or some other wildcard event within a two week window of the election.
There’s bad trouble ahead for the U.S., whether it’s Clinton or Trump, but let’s get through the next couple of weeks first.

Consider what can happen if you write the wrong thing on social media. Justin Carter wrote something stupid on Facebook back in 2013 and his life has been destroyed. After being beaten in jail and spending time in solitary confinement, Carter is still awaiting trial.
But the people involved with taking over a U.S. Government facility for several weeks are allowed to walk free?

The seven leaders of an armed group who took over a wildlife refuge in Oregon earlier this year were all found not guilty Thursday of conspiracy and possession of firearms at a federal facility.
A jury exonerated brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy and five other co-defendants of conspiring to block federal workers from their jobs at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in a standoff that began Jan. 2 and lasted almost six weeks.
Defendant Ken Medenbach, who was not in the courtroom for the verdict and had been away for medical treatment, began crying when informed of the news over the telephone.
“It’s wonderful – the holy spirit has been listening to our prayers,” Medenbach said. “The people have spoken.”

The International Energy Agency said today that it was significantly increasing its five-year growth forecast for renewables thanks to strong policy support in key countries and sharp cost reductions. Renewables have surpassed coal last year to become the largest source of installed power capacity in the world.
The latest edition of the IEA’s Medium-Term Renewable Market Report now sees renewables growing 13% more between 2015 and 2021 than it did in last year’s forecast, due mostly to stronger policy backing in the United States, China, India and Mexico. Over the forecast period, costs are expected to drop by a quarter in solar PV and 15 percent for onshore wind.
Last year marked a turning point for renewables. Led by wind and solar, renewables represented more than half the new power capacity around the world, reaching a record 153 Gigawatt (GW), 15% more than the previous year. Most of these gains were driven by record-level wind additions of 66 GW and solar PV additions of 49 GW.
About half a million solar panels were installed every day around the world last year. In China, which accounted for about half the wind additions and 40% of all renewable capacity increases, two wind turbines were installed every hour in 2015.
“We are witnessing a transformation of global power markets led by renewables and, as is the case with other fields, the center of gravity for renewable growth is moving to emerging markets,” said Dr Fatih Birol, the IEA’s executive director.

Joggers, taxi drivers, players of Pokemon Go and senior Russian officials are seeking an explanation of why mobile phone apps that use GPS are malfunctioning in central Moscow.
A programmer for Russian internet firm Yandex, Grigory Bakunov, said Thursday his research showed a system for blocking GPS was located inside the Kremlin, the heavily guarded official residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Users of GPS have complained on social media in recent months that when they are near the Kremlin their GPS-powered apps stop working or show them to be in Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, 29 kilometers (18 miles) away.
