An official with the Federal Emergency Management Agency was “removed from their role” and is under investigation after the Daily Wire obtained a leaked internal message in which they ordered workers to bypass the homes of Trump supporters as they surveyed the damage caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida.

In the leaked message, a FEMA supervisor told workers to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to find residents who may qualify for federal aid.

The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, told workers both verbally and in a group chat to avoid Trump supporters’ homes, multiple government officials told the Daily Wire.

COVID Vaccines Pose 112,000% Greater Risk of Brain Clots, Strokes Than Flu Shots

November 9th, 2024

Via: The Defender:

COVID-19 vaccines pose a 112,000% greater risk of brain clots and strokes than flu vaccines and a 20,700% greater risk of those symptoms than all other vaccines combined, according to a peer-reviewed study that calls for a global moratorium on the vaccines.

The study, published last week in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Medical Science, found reports of 5,137 cases of cerebral thromboembolism after COVID-19 shots over 36 months. This compares to 52 reported cases following flu vaccination and 282 cases for all vaccines over the past 34 years.

According to the study, this represents an “alarming breach in the safety signal threshold concerning cerebral thrombosis adverse events” following COVID-19 vaccination.

Susie Wiles: Trump’s Chief of Staff Works for Lobbying Firm Representing Junk Food, Pharmaceutical and Tobacco Industries

November 8th, 2024

Fox:

In addition to her work on political campaigns, Wiles is a registered lobbyist.

Federal disclosures filed in April show Wiles was a lobbyist for the tobacco company Swisher International while running the Trump campaign. The documents show she worked to influence Congress on “FDA regulations.”

Wiles is the co-chair for the Florida and Washington, D.C., offices of Mercury Public Affairs, a lobbying firm whose clients include AirBnB, AT&T, eBay, Pfizer, Tesla, and the Embassy of Qatar, although she is not a registered lobbyist for any of those clients.

Via: Sludge:

Trump has worked to cultivate a populist image, in the past running on a pledge to “drain the swamp” and promising to end the revolving door and tax Wall Street. Before he left office in 2021, he reversed his own executive order that would have barred his appointees from any lobbying related to their agencies for five years.

One of the Trump campaign’s consistent messages to voters was that a Trump administration would “Make America Healthy Again,” with campaign figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pledging to get ultra-processed foods removed from school lunches. Mercury has large lobbying contracts with several junk food companies that will be working to oppose that objective. It lobbies for sugar cereal company Kellogg’s, high fructose corn syrup sauce maker Kraft-Heinz, and Nestlé SA, the Swiss company whose brands include KitKat, Hot Pockets, and Nestea.

More: Susie Wiles is a lobbyist for Big Pharma. She’s also a key advisor to President Trump. That’s a problem.

Police Hunt 40 Monkeys that Escaped from South Carolina Research Facility

November 7th, 2024

Update: They have not been used for any testing yet, don’t carry any disease, and pose no health risk to the public.

Via: NBC:

A police search is underway after 40 monkeys escaped from a research facility in South Carolina on Wednesday night.

Police in Yemassee, Beaufort County, said the animals escaped from Alpha Genesis, a business that provides “nonhuman primate products and bio-research services,” according to its website.

Traps have been set up and officers are using thermal imaging cameras in an attempt to recapture the animals, police said.

“Residents are strongly advised to keep doors and windows secured to prevent these animals from entering homes,” Yemassee Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. Anyone who finds a monkey should not interact with it but instead call 911, it said.

The company works with monkeys to carry out clinical trials, including on brain disease disorder treatments, and says it has “one of the largest and most comprehensive nonhuman primate facilities, designed specifically for monkeys, in the United States.”

The sheriff’s department didn’t specify the breed of the fugitive primates, but the company’s website says it works with macaque and capuchin monkeys.

It is also not known what trials the escaped monkeys were taking part in, nor whether they were exposed to any diseases. Alpha Genesis did not immediately respond to an overnight request for comment from NBC News.
