A growing number of wealthy Americans are making plans to leave the country in the run-up to Tuesday’s election, with many fearing political and social unrest regardless of who wins, according to immigration attorneys.
Attorneys and advisors to family offices and high-net-worth families said they’re seeing record demand from clients looking for second passports or long-term residencies abroad. While talk of moving overseas after an election is common, wealth advisors said this time many of the wealthy are already taking action.
“We’ve never seen demand like we see now,” said Dominic Volek, group head of private clients at Henley & Partners, which advises the wealthy on international migration.

Idaho’s Southwest District Health will no longer offer COVID-19 vaccines after its board voted 4-3 last week to pull the shots from the 30 locations where it provides healthcare services.
“It’s the first health agency in America to do that,” Laura Demaray, a Southwest Idaho resident and nurse who attended the Oct. 22 vote, told The Defender.

After careful consideration, AFCEA-Atlanta (a chapter of AFCEA International) and its event production partner Federal Business Council (FBC) are postponing the 2024 Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Conference. originally scheduled in Atlanta for November 6-7, 2024, and a pre-conference tabletop exercise during setup on the 5th. A rapid and unanticipated rise in rhetoric and threats stemming from disinformation about the purpose of the event and its proximity to Election Day contributed to the decision to postpone.
Out of an abundance of caution and because a number of government agencies are unable to participate, we made this difficult decision so that we can deliver a high-quality and meaningful event, with deep and rich engagement across industry, government and academia, and full participation by all stakeholders.
AI Now Writes Over 25% of Code at Google

Google is now using AI to write more than a quarter of its new code, according to Google and parent company Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, who shared the news during the firm’s most recent earnings call.
Google is “using AI internally to improve our coding processes, which is boosting productivity and efficiency,” Pichai said. “Today, more than a quarter of all new code at Google is generated by AI, then reviewed and accepted by engineers. This helps our engineers do more and move faster.”

October 29th, 2024I first heard about vote fraud in the U.S. back in the early 1990s: Votescam: The Stealing of America by James M. Collier and Kenneth F. Collier.
Yes, the U.S. runs large scale illegitimate elections, and has for decades. Neither major political party seems to want to do anything about it. The situation becomes more ridiculous every election season.
I’ve posted it before and I’ll post it again:
Here is the only type of electronic voting system that should be allowed:
– Open source hardware and software.
– Cryptographic process generates one unique ballot for each verified eligible voter; only on election day, only at a polling place.
– Hard copy of unique filled-in ballot generated for voting officials and voter while votes are added to public blockchain.
– The rest of the details don’t matter because no major political party in the U.S. wants to eliminate vote fraud.
So, as the U.S. is about to go off the rails, just remember: It didn’t have to happen. (Again.) It was technically solvable. It just wasn’t politically solvable because states want a system in which the best cheater wins.
