Trump Announces Ohio Sen JD Vance as His 2024 Running Mate

Update: Brief Commentary

When this announcement came out, I didn’t know anything about JD Vance at all. I looked briefly and saw that he’s closely associated with Thiel and Vance’s wife was a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

Thiel is the special sauce behind Vance’s rise (financial backing) and his making amends with Trump. Vance used to be very strongly anti-Trump, but with Thiel’s puppet strings and good offices working the backchannel with the Trump camp…

Here we are.

Vance will be sold to the masses through his book, Hillbilly Elegy and the corresponding movie.

However, Vance is Thiel’s creature. No doubt about it. That means, of course, that Vance is Palantir’s creature.

If you want to try to look for a brightside, Vance appears to be two degrees of separation from the Epstein industrial complex, instead of just one, like Trump and Thiel. Whether or not being owned by Thiel is any different than being owned by Epstein, I don’t know. Maybe it’s, six of one, half a dozen of the other, as my dad used to say.

Keep in mind, I only read about Vance for about fifteen minutes before I wrote this commentary. Like everything with elites (and their creatures), I’m sure it gets worse the deeper one goes.

Vance, a former venture capitalist and the author of the bestselling memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,” before running for elective office, was one of a handful of Republicans considered top running mate contenders. That group included North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida and Tim Scott of South Carolina.

Both Parents of Trump Shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, “Are Licensed Behavioral Counselors”

American investment monolith BlackRock has removed a 2022 advert that includes images of Donald Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Crooks, 20, was killed by a Secret Service sniper after he opened fire at a Trump campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, injuring the former president and two others, and killing one person.

A BlackRock spokesperson confirmed that Crooks had appeared in the ad in a statement to the New York Times.

‘In 2022, we ran an ad featuring a teacher from Bethel Park High School, in which several unpaid students briefly appeared in the background, including Thomas Matthew Crooks’, the spokesperson said.

‘We will make all video footage available to the appropriate authorities, and we have removed the video from circulation out of respect for the victims.

‘BlackRock strongly condemns political violence of any kind and will do our part to promote civility and unity in the country.’

For a few frames, at 52 seconds, it appears that Thomas Matthew Crooks is in this BlackRock commercial.

I placed his Pennsylvania driver’s license photo next to several screen grabs from the BlackRock commercial above.

It looks like him to me, down to the same glasses, acne and even the black hoodie.

When looking at the circumstances in favor of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the identified alleged suspect in the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, PA, it’s hard to see how the guy failed. Almost every Secret Service security protocol seems to have been ignored, allowing Crooks easy access to a perfect shooting position and plenty of time to acquire a bead on Trump’s podium.

The rooftop used by Crooks was a mere 140 yards away from the event with a clear line of sight to the right of Trump. Those familiar with precision shooting know that any shot within 300 yards is considered easy for a moderately trained rifleman. With the right caliber an expert can hit a torso sized target consistently at 1000 yards or more. At 140 yards any amateur should be able to hit a pie plate-sized target with little difficulty, even without a magnified optic.

The Secret Service is supposed to secure all obvious “sniper perches” well before the arrival of a protectee – Meaning, nearby rooftops and buildings are supposed to have a security presence in place along with drone surveillance. In the case of Butler, PA, this was apparently not done. SS snipers were only present on the building right behind the venue stage.

The lack of a security presence at the building across the field made it possible for the would-be assassin to brazenly jaunt to the location and climb to the rooftop with his rifle in broad daylight. The SS traditionally uses concentric “circles of security” going out hundreds if not thousands of yards when preparing a location for protection.

Watch the video below for insight on how meticulous the Secret Service is supposed to be when preparing an area to prevent assassination attempts.

The idea of Crooks being able to get that close with an elevated position on the stage is unthinkable. Another fail was the lack of sight obstructions put in place near the stage. The Secret Service is supposed to erect barriers to block the line of sight from potential shooting locations. Again, this was not done.

Finally, there’s the dismal lack of response time. Witnesses outside the event report that they saw Thomas Crooks climbing to the building rooftop with his rifle at least three minutes before he started shooting. They claim they tried to warn police and Secret Service agents to no avail.

Witnesses desperately tried to warn police that a rifle-toting sniper was crawling on a roof moments before gunfire erupted at the Trump rally Saturday.

“You could clearly see him with a rifle,” the man, wearing a MAGA 2020 hat, told BBC News.
“We’re pointing at him. The police are down there running around on the ground.

“We’re like, ‘Hey, man, this guy on the roof with a rifle.’ And the police were like, ‘Huh?’ They didn’t know what was going on.”

The witness claimed he and his friends tried warning police for several minutes as Secret Service members watched on, choosing not to take action until between five and eight shots were fired, the origins of which he said “100%” came from the rifle-carrying man.

“He was up there for a couple of minutes, absolutely at least three, four minutes. We were pointing at him for the Secret Service, who were looking at us from the top of the barn. They were looking at us the whole time.”

Trump Shot in Right Ear at Campaign Rally, Shooter Dead

Donald Trump was shot in the right ear during a campaign rally on Saturday, sparking panic and streaking the Republican presidential candidate’s blood across his face, before he emerged and pumped his fist in the air appearing to mouth the words “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The shooter was dead, one rally attendee was killed and two other spectators were injured, the Secret Service said in a statement. The incident was being investigated as an assassination attempt, a source told Reuters.

Ron Moose, a Trump supporter who was in the crowd, described the chaos: “I heard about four shots and I saw the crowd go down and then Trump ducked also real quick. Then the Secret Service all jumped and protected him as soon as they could. We are talking within a second they were all protecting him.”

Moose said he then saw a man running and being chased by officers in military uniforms. He said he heard additional shots, but was unsure who fired them. He noted that by then snipers had set up on the roof of a warehouse behind the stage.

The BBC interviewed a man who described himself as an eyewitness, saying he saw a man armed with a rifle crawling up a roof near the event. The person, who the BBC did not identify, said he and the people he was with started pointing at the man, trying to alert security.

The shots appeared to come from outside the area secured by the Secret Service, the agency said.

Donald Trump said he was shot in his right ear during the horrific assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania rally and knew something was wrong when he heard a ‘whizzing’ sound.

The former president said he immediately felt the bullet ‘ripping through my skin’ in a statement from hospital just hours after the terrifying scene unfolded.

The 77-year-old was dragged off stage by Secret Service with blood covering his face and then pumped his fist and shouted ‘fight, fight, fight’ after gunfire rang out in front of thousands of MAGA fans.

The gunman and a member of the crowd were killed and two others were taken to hospital in a critical condition after the shooting at 6.15pm on Saturday night.

The suspect fired at least eight shots from outside the security perimeter of the rally after witnesses said they say a man with a rifle bear crawling on a roof.

AT&T Says Criminals Stole Phone Records of ‘Nearly All’ Customers

U.S. phone giant AT&T confirmed Friday it will begin notifying millions of consumers about a fresh data breach that allowed cybercriminals to steal the phone records of “nearly all” of its customers, a company spokesperson told TechCrunch.

In a statement, AT&T said that the stolen data contains phone numbers of both cellular and landline customers, as well as AT&T records of calls and text messages — such as who contacted who by phone or text — during a six-month period between May 1, 2022 and October 31, 2022.

AT&T said some of the stolen data includes more recent records from January 2, 2023 for a smaller but unspecified number of customers.
